Today the Danger Shop was set up as a built up, yet abandoned city. A faint rumbling could be heard in the distance.

"Good morning," Bond greeted the class as he checked his watch. The rumbling was much less faint than it had been before. "You'll be starting your final as soon as your vehicles arrive."

Which given what was currently rolling up the street, looked to be quite soon.

This would surely end well.

Rikku was bouncing. Not that that was such an unusual thing for Rikku to be doing, but she was.

"Okay!" she announced, once everyone had arrived. "I got to write you guys a final!!! Isn't that awesome? I've never written a final before but don't worry it's not hard or anything I hope and you can use your notes!!! I hope you took notes 'cause otherwise you might be in a bit of trouble but don't worry I don't think it's too hard, anyway. Just write a lot and you'll probably get partial credit so long as you manage something that's right, you know? I believe in all of you and you've been supergreat, so let's get this rocking!"

Just think. This was what she was like without huge quantities of sugar. Scary, no?

"So here we are," Kūkaku tilted her head in regarding her last class for a moment, before gesturing for the twins to get moving, "our last class. Congrats and shit on makin' it; you've been a good class. The minions here--" yes, that includes you, Furnace Face, "--will pass out your exams. There are seven parts, covering everything we hit up on though the semester: basics, atomic structure, acids and bases, states and changes, measurement and conversations, stoichiometry and lab safety.

"Get 'em done good an' quick, because after that, you'll be doin' your presentations. Remember, it was anythin' you want, so long as it's chemistry and it doesn't blow up the place. Granted, I'm out of here after this. I'm going back home to my fireworks shop, assumin' my idiot brother hasn't burned it to the ground or turned it into a hog stable, but I'd still like to avoid gettin' tossed in jail one last time while I'm here. So get your tests done, hand 'em into one of the twins, and then we'll have some fun. Hopefully, ya all put together something good for me to remember ya by."

And though the smile was sharp, it was actually pretty sincere, too.

"Any questions before we get started?"

"Morning everyone. Happy finals week," Alaric said with a smile once everybody came in. "Hope you studied for your test. Or, well, at least showed up to class so you have an inkling what's going on."

Yeah he doubted most people actually studied. Luckily it wasn't really needed if they showed up to class.

"The test is fairly simple so don't get too bent out of shape about it. Relax. Breathe," Alaric said as he passed out the test. "Before you start I want to say that you guys have been a great class and I hope you've learned at least one thing in here. If you didn't learn anything at least pretend you did if I happen to ask."

The final day of class was probably just as anyone may have been expecting it to be: the classroom, set up as always with a circle at the centre with hot chocolate available for everyone to indulge and sip. And Shunsui sitting there, beaming at them all as they settled and, once they did, he let out a thoughtful sigh.

"Ahhhh, my little ducklings ♥," he said. "Parting is such sweet sorrow, but we do not have to part quite yet, so let us not think on it ♥. We still have a whole class period ahead of us and, as I mentioned last week, this class is all about you ♥. No tests; what a terrible waste of paper and so boring besides ♥! All I ask of you in our final meeting are your thoughts, and we all have those: what, after this class, are your thoughts on pacifism ♥? Do you support it ♥? Are you against it ♥? Do you have an idea of how pacifism should or could work ♥? Let us all take turns, and let us all wander the paths of consciousness that may open up in our discussions ♥. And, of course, let us all drink to health and happiness ♥!"

He lifted his mug in a bit of a toast and took a swig as though it weren't cocoa at all, but his usual sake. There was actually a good chance that his cup actually was the usual sake...

"Who wishes to begin, ducklings ♥?"

[[ OCD is on the way enjoying its cocoa! ]]

The final was taking place in the Danger Shop today. The door to the Shop opened into a decent-sized studio apartment, but from the windows, an entire cityscape could be seen. "Welcome to the last class," Cindy said, giving them all a smile. "You've been a great class and I hope some of what we've learned this semester has been useful to you and will continue to be so for as long as you stay at Fandom. Our final today is a practical, so don't worry about notes or essays or anything like that. This is a class with real-world applications, so it only makes sense to test it in a real-world setting."

Well, as 'real world' as people get in the Danger Shop.

"Your exam is going to be pretty simple. You're going to spend an evening with a friend, including cooking them dinner here in your apartment." She pointed to the kitchen, complete there was a sink, a fridge, a tiny stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave oven. "You must plan out and execute the entire evening, starting with contacting your friend, going to the store for the meal, figuring out an activity, and making sure your apartment is ready for company." With the touch of a button, the apartment became rather messy, with dishes piling in the sink, dirty carpets, and a pile of laundry. "You also want to stay under budget," Cindy said, handing out a plastic "credit" card to each of them. "There's $50 on each of these," she explained. "So you're going to be limited in what you can do. Take a taxi somewhere, and you'll be limited to making ramen for dinner. Cook an extravagant meal, and you'll need to stay in and watch movies tonight. Either of those options are fine--it can be a very cheap night of ramen and DVDs--just make sure you keep your budget in mind when you're planning your evening."

She went over to the door to the apartment and opened it. "There are identical apartments for all of you, so scatter and start figuring out what you're doing tonight."

Rinoa was in a particularly good mood today. The pirate on the radio said that her marriage hadn't been legally binding, which meant she didn't need to worry about getting an annulment. Not that her wife wasn't lovely (and a good kisser) but Squall would probably be upset with her if she went off and got married.

She already had two of her three finals out of the way, so today, she was continuing her discovery of the works of Angelica Demesnes. More convinced than ever that some of these positions were completely physically impossible. But very hot, all the same.

The small flock of pamphlets that greeted Gabrielle by fluttering in her face this morning was not unexpected by now; she'd worked here too long.

They were (luckily) easy enough to talk down and coax back to their shelves, but they must have inspired Gabrielle somehow; when she wandered off to collect some reading material for herself for the day, she came back with her arms full of books on birds.

She even found one book about bird calls as used as a coded language by the Amazons, but couldn't stop rolling her eyes at how it got everything wrong.

Irony was completely lost on her today, it seemed.
