Rick had planned out a truly epic final for his class. Unfortunately, Rick had also gotten bitten by a gremlin this morning, so when the class arrived for their class, he was nowhere to be seen, the Danger Shop resembled some kind of testing facility, strange guns could be seen instead of the usual vests.

"Good Morning Test Students," Rick's voice came over the loud-speakers, sounding decidedly more feminine and monotone than usual. "You Have Been Chosen To Test The ASHPD. You Will Receive Instructions On Its Use During The Testing Phase."

"You Have Until The End Of The Class To Complete The Testing Phase." A pause. "Just So You Know I Have Cake. For You."

When the class arrived at the Danger Shop, they would have found themselves in a maze of dark, twisty passages, all alike. The walls were made of prefabricated metal and the dim lights flickered on and off.

"Morning, kids, and welcome to the mining 624-Victor Lima" Rick said, his voice barely above a whisper. "As you can see, the miners seem to have vanished, and our job is to find them."

"Due to the lack of natural light and the intermittent power, you've been provided with motion trackers." He pointed to the boxes attached to the stocks of their lasers. The screens on the boxes showed a number of small green dots clustered around the centre. "They'll let you know if someone or something is moving around you. We're the ones in green. Unknowns will show up in white, and hostiles in red."

"Now follow me and try not to shoot each other."

Well, nothing could go wrong with this class. Nothing at all.

The Danger Shop was set up like a movie theatre when the class arrived today, complete with popcorn.

"Sorry, kids," Rick began apologetically. "But I'm afraid my computer died last night while I was getting today's class ready. So instead we'll be watching that filmic masterpiece, Island Prison: OMG Explosions."

The Danger Shop was set up to resemble a large, echoing stone hall, the dinosaur skeleton in the centre probably gave a clue was to what kind of building the hall belonged to.

"Welcome the Natural History Museum, London," Rick began, already wearing his vest. "It has a rich and interesting history, however right now that's not important."

There was a long, drawn out groan, and something shuffled into view at the top of the stairs.

"What's important is that it's home to a sudden mummy infestation." Rick took aim at the mummy, which tumbled over the balcony with a much shorter groan after being hit. "Quickly, everyone hide behind the Diplodocus. Your vests are there."

Rick was nowhere to be seen as the students entered the Danger Shop today, however it was already running a program.

The lights were dim, the decor was stained, and disturbing sounds could be heard in the distance. This was no doubt going to be a cheerful lesson.

Today the Danger Shop was set to a simulation of a carefully-tended forest, if the students listened closely, they could hear the faint sounds of cheerful singing.

"Morning, kids, and welcome to the New York Botanical Gardens," Rick greeted them, cheerfully incongruous in his laser-tag vest. "More specifically, the native Forest, the largest remaining expanse of the woodlands that once covered New York. And today, we're doing some search and destroy."

"Now you may or may not have noticed that we're having a little greenery problem today. Of the talking, singing kind. It just so happens that our petally friends have agreed to help us out in class today. You don't want to know how I swung that." More specifically, Beckett was not going to want to know once that courier arrived at the precinct. "Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to hunt down every single one of the flowers that don't belong here. Like looking for a needle in a haystack full of needle-shaped hay."

"You can work on your own or in groups, and don't worry about actually hurting the flowers, they're only going to play dead when they feel the laser."

The Danger Shop was off then the class arrived, but Rick was visibly excited and already wearing his laser tag vest.

"Morning kids," he chirped, bouncing on the balls of his feet. "The class is laser tag adventures and for the newbies to my classes, I'm Rick Castle, mystery writer and laser tag player extraordinaire."

He pressed a button and a grungy blue and off-white underground train-station faded into view, as well as extra sets of vests and guns, faded into view.

"Welcome to lovely and picturesque Melbourne, Australia. One of the less picturesque parts of it though, I'm afraid. Parliment Station, one of the five stations making up what's known as the Melbourne City Loop. Think the New York subway, only much tinier, also less pee smell," he waved one hand. "Look, I'll email you all some notes later, but we all know why you picked this class, to play laser tag. We'll be having a free for all today, but introductions first. Name, class, somewhere you think'd be fun to play laser tag."

He pointed at Alex if she was there. "One more thing, the lovely Miss Russo is your TA. Use your power wisely, young minion."
