The jungle classroom in the danger shop was set up as usual, back in Africa and, to be honest, more familiar territory to Jane, so the simulation was probably much more detailed due to her familiarity. "Welcome back, students!" she chirped. "I hope you've all been keeping yourselves warm this week; hopefully this little respite in the jungle for class should be some welcome warmth. Today, we're going to talk about probably one of the best known and perhaps best loved and most human-like of the primates, the chimpanzee."

( A Chimp off the Old Block. )

"Well, really, let us not waste any more time and get to know these fascinating and clever primates up close and personal. Grab your packs and let's head on out into the jungle, unless there are any questions."

The jungle scene found in the Danger Shop when the children entered it today was slightly different than last week, though still with a nice little classroom clearing and their instructor beaming and happy to get going on class.

"Good morning!" Jane greeted them. "And welcome to Central America! We've hopped on over to a different area of the world to learn all about our first primate. Since it was one of the few specific monkeys mentioned last week, I decide it might be a good idea to--"

And she was suddenly interrupted by a low, loud throaty sound.

"Oh, goodness!" said Jane with a surprised laugh. "What I was saying was, I thought it might be fun if we went ahead and took a look at some h--"

And again, Jane was promptly interrupted and it went on for quite a bit. She didn't seem bothered; in fact, she was grinning quite a bit. "Howler monkeys," she finally said. "Let's get to learning about them before they drown me out again!"

( HOWL )

"And, if there are no further question, then, let us get ourselves some hat and some packs and veture out to have a look at these--" Naturally, she was interrupted again, "--monkeys."

For all intents and purposes, Jane supposed she could have held the first class in a regular classroom, but what fun was that? She'd ensured that the news got to each of her students that they would be meeting in the danger shop, where they would find themselves stepping into a deep, think jungle of Africa, into a clearing set up like a camp and classroom combined, with just a few desks, since it was such a small class. And they were spared, so far, the threat of three blackboards; today, there was only one, and on it was written: MISS PORTER WELCOMES YOU TO MONKEY BUSINESS!

( Cut because even short introductions take a while with Jane. )

"Who shall like to go first?"
