"Once you've figured out what your target wants and why they want it, you can move on to how to give it to them, or make them think they're getting it," Yennefer told her class. "For example: if our Henry here claims to want sons for some reason that can be satisfied other than through procreation--continuation of his legacy, or a genuine concern for continuance of governmental stability--how can you do that, or at least make it look like you're doing that? If he really is dead set on procreation, how can you work toward that goal? Perhaps you could arrange, or purport to arrange, his marriage to a widow of proven fertility--"

"Virgins only!" the holographic Henry insisted, and Yennefer paused to look very annoyed indeed.

"--or a virgin with wide hips and crossed fingers," she said after a moment. "Or at least make him think that's what you're doing. Perhaps you could introduce him to a biology lesson, since apparently the sex of the child is down to the man, who knew? But only if you think you could do so without losing your head. Kings, so touchy. Or you could simply sell him some ditchwater at an exorbitant price, guaranteed to guarantee he will only have male issue. There are many options. How would you like to proceed?"
