There was just the one teacher at the front of the class today. One that looked about the same level of tired as he considered normal and held onto a coffee cup like it was a lifeline. So, you know, business as usual.

"Today is a movie day. It seems to be a bit of a theme this week, so who am I to stop it?" Tony asked with a quick grin. "Well, this is more a TV show than.a movie. Which means if you like it, there's plenty more to watch this weekend."

Look at that bright point!

"So, enjoy and try not to fall asleep in your chair, okay?"

Today's classroom was much fussier and church-like than usual. Befitting this (fake) occasion, Steve was in his dress uniform. "Sometimes work extends even past picnics and happy hours," he said. "Sometimes you get invited to weddings."

Tony was in a suit that looked like it was more expensive than anyone really should need. In his defense... he'd found it in the back of his closet. Which wasn't really a defense at all. "Sometimes it's a pity invite, sometimes it's just one more grab for gifts in the hope that you don't really show."

Steve made a small face at both of those options. "Sometimes they might actually like you?"

Not generally, Steve, no.

"Sure," Tony agreed, giving him a sympathetic look. "But you'll know for sure if that's the case."

And won't want to scream when you open your invitation.

"So we have a couple of things to discuss," Steve said. "Do you go at all? Do you send a gift? And if you do go, how long do you stay at the reception?"

"Ahead of time, it's a cash bar. So, let that color your choices too," Tony added. Because why make it the sort of party you'd want to go to? "And it's on a Sunday night."

Today the class room was pony free and decorated with a hodgepodge of holidays and seasons like they couldn't make up their mind on what they were celebrating. There was food and non-alcoholic drinks for the students once they arrived. Because this was a school, kids. This was still a school.

"Nice to see you've all made if through last week," Tony said, so, so happy that he was bipedal again. "That was... a thing we could so without repeating again."

HE FLOATED LIKE A MAGICAL GIRL.

And Steve had piiiictures. His Tony had demanded to know who'd taught him Photoshop. "Sometimes offices try to foster community spirit outside of the office through voluntary--but not really--socializing," he said, waving his hands at the set-up.

He should have destroyed Steve's phone on accident. Hindsight was 20/20.

"Welcome to Holiday Inclusive Parties in July," Tony said, holding up a giant iced coffee. It was his small nod to the fact that it was hotter than hell out. "Where you have to socialize with people you barely know or hide out with the few you do. Sometimes it involves alcohol and that one coworker who thinks they should drink more than socially acceptable."

"And also the one that brought That Weird Salad," Steve said, "which the tipsy co-worker is definitely going to try."

Tony's eyebrows went up. "I think there's marshmallows in there. There shouldn't be, but there are." Fear it, kids. Fear the social quagmire full of bad food and small talk.

There was only one teacher in front of the class today. And no, it wasn't the Dorito shaped one. Sorry, kids.

"Welcome Working with Jerks," Tony said. "Or welcome back if you took it last time as well. Captain Rogers will be here next week to introduce himself, but for now you'll have to deal with just me. My name is Tony and I'll be teaching you for the next few weeks."

He clapped his hands together like he needed to get their attention. "We'll be using Steve's absence as a lesson in how to handle being left to complete a task meant fo. It's not specifically a jerk thing, but if you're busy, I can make your day a whole lot more hectic."

The room changed from looking like a classroom into looking like the lobby of a fancy office building, complete with way too much glass and modern art. Yes, it was possibly the Stark Building in NYC. What of it?

"We'll do quick introductions before starting a little scenario, okay? Let me know your name and what you'd like to learn."
