Before graduation because let's not leave out grads who've already left Fandom High yearbooks had been delivered and passed out to all the students and teachers of the school. The normal school sections were covered with information on classes, clubs, and dorm life, but then there were the Fandom-only sections on invasions, life at Fandom as an animal, really damn weird shit, and the town -- where no drinking age exists. The yearbook was moddably comprehensive and likely to make every student smile with the good memories and shudder at the embarrassing ones.

OOC: Yearbooks! Approved by the admins for posting, this one is just like previous years' yearbooks, with bonus refresher rules stolen from [livejournal.com profile] electrocynic, who ganked it from [livejournal.com profile] life_inshadow, who snagged them from [livejournal.com profile] notlikejack in a mass chain of stolen memes and ideas, bwahaha!

Here's how this goes:

1. Comment with your character's name
2. Other characters will comment leaving notes, messages, drawings, comments that they put a mustache on Topher's picture, etc.
3. This is all IC. How the signing occurs is totes handwavy, but a character can read all the comments in his yearbook.
4. While your character can totally leave an 'anonymous note' in a yearbook, anonymous commenting is NOT on so characters should probably either sign their names - or not. :D

3. This is all IC. How the signing occurs is totes handwavy, but a character can read all the comments in his yearbook. Which means that if Bobby McCallister says that Caroline's a big meaniepants, she can come punch him in the face. No, don't punch Bobby. He is wee and breakable!
4. While your character can totally leave an 'anonymous note' in a yearbook (and seriously there are still some in my senior yearbook that I have NO CLUE who wrote them), anonymous commenting is NOT on so characters should probably either sign their names - or not. :D

OOC: Yearbooks! We used to do this way back when, only it was kinda difficult to manage, so [livejournal.com profile] rocksthescarf's confessions meme inspired an idea on how to do it which was happily approved by the admins for posting!

Here's how this goes:

1. Comment with your character's name
2. Other characters will comment leaving notes, messages, drawings, comments that they put devil horns on Karev's picture just like they're signing your yearbook.
3. This is all IC. How the signing occurs is totes handwavy, but a character can read all the comments in his yearbook. Which means that if Alex Karev calls Rose a big fat ho, she can take revenge ICly by punching him in the face. Or something.
4. While your character can totally leave an 'anonymous note' in a yearbook (and seriously there are still some in my senior yearbook that I have NO CLUE who wrote them), anonymous commenting is NOT on so characters should probably either sign their names - or not. :D

All right, boys and girls.

The yearbook had our first meeting last night.

There was a decent turnout, but we're still quite understaffed. If you're interested in working on the yearbook, please contact Rory Gilmore either by phone or drop by room #305.

As for the editorial positions, since there was such a large amount of interest in them, I've upped it to three editors per section. Everyone who applied is editor of something, though we only have Veronica Mars heading photography. If you're interested in either of the two open positions, please contact Rory as seen above.

Here is the staff as of now. )

Thanks again to everyone who showed up. If your name isn't on the list, or you want to get involved in any way, please talk to Rory as, once again, stated above.

Rory perches on the edge of a table in the cafeteria, and faces the people assembled there.

"Hey everyone. Thanks for coming. Now, we're going to conduct this meeting in an organized way, since there are so many of you.

First off, just so you know, meetings will be held at this time every Monday. If you have a scheduling conflict, please let me know.

I know quite a few of you have expressed interest in doing various things, but there are so many new people that I'm going to start a new staff list. So do me a favor and introduce yourself if we haven't met, and let me know what you're interested in doing.

To my photographers: I'd like to see a sample of your work, just for the sake of knowing what sort of features you'd be best at covering. [ooc: Just find a photo online or something. I don't care what it is - just PLEASE keep it clean!]

To my writers: I need you to know how to write thoughtful and classy captions. So, please write a statement about someone you see at this meeting as if you were briefly describing them to a stranger, so that I have a sample of your writing.

Those who are interested in layout exclusively: I need you to be people who are insanely organized. Please tell me the organizational system you use in your room, home, car, or whatever.

To those interested in becoming editors: There are six editorial positions available. )

Remember: everyone is welcome to participate in the yearbook, and if you don't know what you might be good at, I can help you find something. And, of course, feel free to ask me any questions you may have."

Rory concludes her speech, and smiles.

ATTENTION YEARBOOK PEOPLE:

Tonight's meeting will be held in the cafeteria. Please bring a writing utensil of some sort, paper, and your ideas. If you're interested in photography, please bring your camera and a sample of your work.

Those who are applying for editorial positions, please reflect on any previous experience you may have and be prepared to submit an application based on why you deserve the position. We need editors in both the photography and writing elements, so feel free to apply for either.

Once again, this meeting is open to anyone who is interested in joining the staff. We have an unlimited number of positions, and we'll need all the help we can get, so please come if you're interested at all.

I hope to see you all there.

- Rory Gilmore, Editor-in-Chief

[ooc: I'll post around 6 EST or so, and I apologize if that's late for anyone.]

ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS AND OTHER FACULTY
As you may already know, several of the students have requested a yearbook organization of some sort.

If you would be interested in possibly sponsoring said yearbook class or club, please contact Rory Gilmore (Room #305) ASAP.

Thank you.

Anyone interested in working on a yearbook? I mean, we'd need a teacher sponsor, if one is willing, but I think it'd be...umm...really fun and, uh, useful. And I'd be completely willing to be the editor-in-chief, if I can get a staff of some sort.
