Rather than a riotous wall of various shades of shocking pink, instead everything in the Danger Shop was the same featureless greige. Well, almost everything. The Jello was colourless. Not clear, mind, but it almost looked like it had somehow been desaturated.

All in all, most people probably would've preferred the pink.

And, yes, your teachers looked disturbed by this. Because it was weird.

"Okay, we're still having some issues with the danger shop," Jane said as a giant tentacle popped out of the jello to placidly float for people to use to cross. "Clearly."

It should be noted that the tentacle was also greige. "There's probably nothing to worry about," Cara said dryly. "Probably."

Just ignore how the longer you looked around the room, the more wrong and out of place the things that had actual colour looked.

"So, uh, let's just started," Jane suggested, eyeing a slightly wonky looking lighthouse jutting out of the jello. It was just creepy.

So creepy.

Well, everything was pink again. So, so pink. And sparkly.

Jane looked resigned to just being covered in glitter here. "The glitch is back. But we're making it work."

"For better or worse." Three guesses who the 'worse' half of that was directed at.

The safe spots to jump to looked like a series of doll houses and play cars. Because teeming.

"It's not the worst," Jane tried.

"Yet," Cara added, ever the optimist.

"Let's just get to it." It was the only way, after all.

The danger shop was pink. Very pink. And glittery. Because something was wrong with it no matter what the teachers did to try fixing it.

And some music just kept blaring the whole time too.

Cara stoically attempted to ignore the music and all the...pink. "Welcome back, I see a lot of familiar faces."

"We're very glad you returned," Jane said over the sound of the music. "Even if it's a bit... glittery today."

"It shouldn't be a recurring problem." Congratulations, Cara, you just ensured that every class would have glittery jello.

It would be great.

"So, the goal is the same as last time, to make it across without falling into the 'lava'." The islands scattered through the lava were distinctly themed in a Malibu sort of beach party way.

Though Malibu didn't have pink sand. As far as Cara knew, anyway.

The landscape in Danger Shop looked surprisingly peaceful today, lava and all. Suspiciously so, one might say.

But those people were paranoid. And so, maybe, correct.

"So, today is going to be something a little different," Jane said, eyeing the 'lava' warily. "With simple places to jump, but..."

The lava roared. Yes, roared.

"Surprise," Cara said dryly as several massive heads reared out of the lava, equally transparent, glistening, and wobbly.

"It just doesn't seem structurally sound," Jane sighed. Because it didn't, okay? It just didn't!

The nearest jello dragon snapped its goopy jaws at Jane, just for that.

"Have fun," Cara said, sounding genuinely excited, the weirdo.

The Danger Shop looked like a drunken unicorn had gone on a psychedelic rampage. Everything (including the jello) was an almost eye searing rainbow and there was a thick layer of (edible) glitter everywhere, including in the jello.

"It's meant to look like this," Cara lied blandly.
wrongkindofsith: (You will all die for this)

Today the Danger Shop looked like the bouncy castle version of Mustafar some foreboding lava planet, and only one of your teachers was in evidence.

"Jane wasn't feeling like herself," was all Cara had to say on the matter. "You should all have gotten the idea of how it works by now, and we'll say it's a powers week. I'll be joining you again"

She might even refrain from cheating. Might.
