Today the Danger Shop looked like the bouncy castle version of Mustafar some foreboding lava planet, and only one of your teachers was in evidence.

"Jane wasn't feeling like herself," was all Cara had to say on the matter. "You should all have gotten the idea of how it works by now, and we'll say it's a powers week. I'll be joining you again"

She might even refrain from cheating. Might.

Maybe it was a desire to do better at this than at the pole yesterday. Maybe it was the fact that he'd had a very good night and a good morning. Maybe it was just luck.

Whatever the reason, Stark was absolutely killing it this morning on the lava course.

Belle hopped on to the closest bit of 'rock' but miscalculated how solid it was and immediately lost her balance and tumbled into the lava.

It was terribly undignified.

"Belle! Noooo!" cried out Graham, dramatically, from where he'd safely landed and noticed she'd fallen. "I shall make it to the end in your honor!"

Was he going to say almost this exact same thing at least twice more to two others before he himself would fall victim to this dastardly plight? Oh yes. Definitely. But Belle, alas, had the misfortune of being the first.

"Oh, no!" gasped Graham, his own laughing far less tragic as he noticed that flash of bright hair as Charlie fell victim to the lava. "Not you as well, Charlie!"

At which point he pulled himself up,serious and important, with a determined nod toward the finish line.

"For both of you, then!" he declared, making a dramatic hop forward with a flutter of his cape. "For the honor of my friends!!"
