“It’s our final class,” Stark said. “But that doesn’t mean it has to be much changed from the others. A little different, yes, but not much. I have more food today, for one thing.”

He had a lot of food at the back of the room.

“You may have noticed by now, living here, but the restaurants often give us more food than we order. If you are ordering a lot to begin with sometimes you end up with…well. You end up with that.” He pointed at the table laden with ~~fully moddable~~ takeout containers.

“There is a new show on the Food Network called Best Bite in Town so we’ll be watching one those and eating a lot of things from our town here and perhaps deciding what the best one is.”

If you just wanted to eat that was fine too. Stark was easy like that. And there was so much food.

Please take some food with you when you leave. There are containers for that!

“It’s hot,” Stark said. Which everyone knew already but it bore repeating. “So even though last week we had gelato, and other things, this week we have more ice cream. All made by Ben & Jerry’s.”

Sorry, local businesses, but it was On Theme.

“There was a show called Clash of the Cones where ice cream chefs competed to make a new flavor for Ben & Jerry’s. I have plenty of toppings to add to your ice cream and I have plain vanilla and plain chocolate if you want to mix things in to try and make a new flavor of your own. Or just to mix in because it will taste good. Nothing wrong with that. I encourage it. And, of course, we’ll watch an episode of the show.” But not the first one about Kevin Bacon. The second episode with Ludacris. Because Stark didn’t know who either of those people were, anyway.

“So, enjoy the episode and the ice cream. Perhaps come up with some flavor ideas of your own.”

"Welcome back,” Stark said. “I haven't brought anything made of cicadas for you to snack on today. I promise. I wouldn't do that to you.”

Stark would never.

“Instead I have cookies. Girl Scout Cookies! Which are not made of girls or scouts or bugs. Just usual cookie things.”

As far as anyone was aware, anyway.

“There was a show called Girl Scout Cookie Championship one year. Contestants had to make other desserts out of the cookies, or at least the flavors. The first episode was space themed and so we'll watch that one.”

Space people gonna space, after all.

“And we'll eat cookies. I like the caramel and coconut ones best.”
