The final day of class was probably just as anyone may have been expecting it to be: the classroom, set up as always with a circle at the centre with hot chocolate available for everyone to indulge and sip. And Shunsui sitting there, beaming at them all as they settled and, once they did, he let out a thoughtful sigh.

"Ahhhh, my little ducklings ♥," he said. "Parting is such sweet sorrow, but we do not have to part quite yet, so let us not think on it ♥. We still have a whole class period ahead of us and, as I mentioned last week, this class is all about you ♥. No tests; what a terrible waste of paper and so boring besides ♥! All I ask of you in our final meeting are your thoughts, and we all have those: what, after this class, are your thoughts on pacifism ♥? Do you support it ♥? Are you against it ♥? Do you have an idea of how pacifism should or could work ♥? Let us all take turns, and let us all wander the paths of consciousness that may open up in our discussions ♥. And, of course, let us all drink to health and happiness ♥!"

He lifted his mug in a bit of a toast and took a swig as though it weren't cocoa at all, but his usual sake. There was actually a good chance that his cup actually was the usual sake...

"Who wishes to begin, ducklings ♥?"

The floor is entirely yours ♥! Share what your thoughts on pacifism may be after the class. Have they changed? Do you have your perfect idea that wasn't discussed in class? What of the class did you enjoy or disagree with the most?

Or just drink cocoa. Shunsui will easily take that as an answer, too.

Squall stared into his mug of hot cocoa sullenly. "It seems like most of it relies on making unrealistic assumptions about other people," he grumbled.

Shunsui chuckled a little, biting back the comment he had in response to Squall's observation because he had said today was their day. "Is that much different from other things in life ♥?" he wondered instead, curiously.

Squall shrugged. "Not really. At least, not when it comes to philosophy. I'm not saying it's not a worthy ideal, because I think it is, just... it's not practical."

"Fair enough," Shunsui allowed with a smile, and a little bit of a shrug all his own. "And probably true ♥."

Squall shrugged again. He was a shrugger. "So... you're a pacifist, right? What do you do when someone attacks? How do you beat them without force?"

"You remember the Aikido lesson, yes ♥?" Shunsui asked, and smiled faintly. "I evade them. I might not be able to change other people, but I can change myself, and evasion is one of my specialties ♥."

Everything from attackers to responsibility.

For a while, Jeremy just drank his cocoa, as if pondering some heavy stuff and how to formulate it into words to awe and impress teacher and fellow students alike. After a moment he seemed to decide on something, and finally opened his mouth.

"Karen says hi."

There. He figured that was far more likely to earn him an A than anything philosophical he could think to say.

Shunsui's first response to Jeremy's unexpected comment was to ask who?. It was, after all, difficult to keep so many beautiful young women straight and in memory and all that, but, just as it was poised on his tongue, he remembered which of his students had set it and a series of connections started to build up a wall to prevent the question from emerging.

It changed itself into a delighted little chuckle. "Oh ho ho ♥," he said. "Did she, now ♥? And how is your radiant older sister, if I may ask ♥?"

Yep. Definitely the straight path to an A, but, really, everyone was getting an A.

Jeremy gave an easy little shrug. "She's good," he said. "Very busy with summer fashions and all that stuff."

Making wedding plans, probably (because wasn't she always?), but that didn't quite go with his A grade plan.

You might be surprised, Jeremy, considering Shunsui's longest running flirtations on this island tended to be with women already married...

"Ah, yes ♥," Shunsui sighed with a wistful sort of expression, since summer fashions did tend to be on the more revealing side of clothes. "You'll have to send to her my good wishes, and my compliments that I'm sure her radiance will put all of the fashions utterly to shame ♥."

Since Bruce was still planning on spending his life punching people in the face, he figured it was probably best to just drink his cocoa.

And, of course, Shunsui's around should he be needed for anything beyond cocoa and chatting.

I had way too much fun writing some of these classes! Thank you all for being awesome and putting up with our cocoa-pushing hippie!

And no wee-tiny Shunsui, but I do have a teenaged one....
