A big fan of the handwaving, despite not being a Jedi, Deadpool was in ye olde Danger Shop with more than just a few neato wooden sticks that you get at anime conventions. Though he didn't get his there.

...okay, only two of them. But it was a good deal, okay?

"Okay, so today we're talking about where you kooky kids are at on the skill level so you don't end up like a wee baby kitten up against a rabid Doberman. Not pretty. Believe you me."

Let's just say that was a very bad trip to Guatemala.

"So you get to smack around these hand-dandy dummies who are not at all dressed up like anyone in particular!" Who wouldn't believe a face like that? C'mon now! "So, get crackin' on this so we can start pairing you folks up next week for my own personal Thunderdome."

A beat.

"I'll need a Tina, of course."

Deadpool, stop eying Zack.

"Zack, Arthur. This Saturday in the non-fancy gym in town because someone isn't allowed on campus because it's creepy or something. Anyone who wants to watch fun fighty times is welcome to come along and bring popcorn."

Ziva did not look like she was in the best mood as she paced around the Danger Shop while everyone got settled. "Good morning," she finally said. "I had hoped to give you all more time to drive today, but my instructions for programming this room have gone missing--" Along with the secret stash of good alcohol that she kept in the same drawer of her desk, which was equally annoying. "--so we will only be completing what I intended to do for the first part of the class, and that is to take a look at some of the most important pieces of motor vehicles."

She passed out some handouts as she talked, about the different parts of a car, engines, and brakes. "There are tables in the back with engines and brakes for you to look at and get your hands on," she said. "You may look at them on your own, or in pairs, and feel free to get your hands dirty - there are tools so that you can try to take them apart, if you so choose."

Logical Fallacies, Part One )

Miss Bennet stopped, finally, eyes twinkling with amusement. "And now that I've committed the fallacy of talking far too much for a class which occurs directly after lunch, I shall pass out some handouts, and we can discuss. Shall we?"

During lunch, loudspeakers all around campus crackled to life with a self-important man clearing his throat.

"Fandom students, this is your Dean of Awesome speaking. After painstakingly counting and throwing out all votes for Tino, Luke&Grace 4Ever, and Will P. Freely, the votes are in for your Fandom High Student Council!" He took a moment and read of the list clearly and without annotation despite a strong, strong urge.

"Congratulations to all the winners, a giant 'what did you expect?' aimed at the losers, and don't forget to show for the first StuCo meeting this Friday afternoon. If you're hoping for a letter of recommendation out of this, be prepared with ideas! And scotch. You may now return to your incredibly lame lunch." The loudspeaker squealed to announce he was done and failing at properly pushing the buttons on the machine.

Oh, someone had let Deadpool back near the intercom. Or just not guarded it well enough. One of those two.

"Yeah, yeah. You heard enough of me last night, I know. But you all secretly love my husky Demi Moore voice. Don't lie."

Riiiight.

He cleared his throat.

"Will Bobby Drake, George Cooper aaaaand Kyle Reese please to be comin' on down to the Vice Principal's office? Mmmkay?"

Dinah wasn't typing away phrases this time. She was surfing the 'net. And looking for free downloads and music. And trying to think of anything else to show Jak that she hadn't already.

With that Killers song blasting away, too.

Sam had stopped for coffee and breakfast this morning, so he was totally alert by the time he got to the library. Whether this would translate to him doing active work, or if he'd just read more, was anyone's guess.

It was a day for a beach excursion and the weather was rather pleasant out. Summer was pleased. She was afraid it was going to rain.

"Hey guys," Summer smiled at her students. "It looks like a good beach day, so what do you say we head on out?" Sure, it was a bit cloudy but Summer was confident it wouldn't rain just yet.

Tide pools. )

Summer was looking forward to seeing what the students might find. "I'd like you to mark down what you find in them. Feel free to ask me if you're not sure of what it could be." She knew that the sea life could be strange to some, if not all of her students. "You might be surprised by your discoveries."

"Good morning, everyone. Settle in for a long lecture today because we're going to talk about the President who probably wins the competition for Most Awesome President Ever, Theodore Roosevelt. He wasn't perfect or anything, but his flaws are really more of a subject for a serious history class, so... I'm just going to ignore them. Check the internet for any less than great information."

In which Jim speaks at a reasonable volume for quite a while but doesn't carry a stick. )
