"Good afternoon," Ziva said as she greeted the class. "I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break last week." She certainly had, even if she still didn't fully understand the holiday. "Today we are going to see an example of a rare kind of classic film: the kind that was not a box office success. Most films that are considered classics were very successful in theaters - after all, if they are classics, they must be good films, and therefore people must have wanted to see them when they were originally released. But sometimes, movies only gain a larger, happier audience once they are out of the theaters, and available to watch in one's home.

"Today's film barely made enough money in theaters to cover its budget, but now, many years later, it is considered to be one of the best films ever made. Hopefully, you will all find it as enjoyable as others have."

William had not yet given in to the urge to try coffee in place of tea. He was, however, going to avoid hot chocolate for the next while after last night's severe case of the hiccups following drinking the thermos Kuukaku had sent out to him.

In retrospect, he really should have anticipated something like that.

In any case, the library was open if slightly sleepy.

"Hello, class," Angua greeted the students with a faint smile. "Long time, no see. I hope you enjoyed your holiday and that our last few classes can actually happen consecutively without the usual interruptions. Today, I'd just like to go ahead and work on an activity to kind of get your brains back into the tracking mindset, as well as remembering everything we've gone over in class so far to help you find and track a person, animal, thing, what have you."

"You may work alone or in pairs if you like, and, when you're ready, you will have to track something down, but you know very little about it. I hesitate to use the word 'clue,' but, essentially, that's what you'll be given. You won't know if you'll be going into an urban setting or a wilderness one; you'll have to improvise. And remember, it could lead anywhere. I know quite a few good stories about tracking personally, but probably only half of them are even appropriate for school."

Sad, but true.

"So take a few moments, grab a partner if you'd like, or as any questions, and then I'll let you know your scenario and any other additional..." Sigh, "clues."

Anakin came into the classroom and shook a small pile of powdered sugar from his robe. Fandom weather was enough to make you sigh some days.

"This semester we've covered six of the seven deadly sins," Anakin began, listing them off on his fingers, "lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, envy, and pride. That leaves us with sloth." He gave the class a brief smile. "Though gluttony might have been more appropriate to discuss right after Thanksgiving, where the tradition seems to be to eat until you burst. Regardless, sloth was originally described as 'an uneasiness of the mind'," he continued. "Apathy. Melancholy. Joylessness. And importantly, the decision not to do anything about it."

He leaned back against his desk. "The modern view understands that the mind is more complicated than that and sometimes it is impossible to will yourself not to be sad. Instead, this sin now focuses on the failure to utilize your talents and gifts." He glanced around the room. "In a school filled with as many talented beings as this one, I think it would be almost criminal to not live up to the potential each of you has. Today, pair up and talk about what your plans for the future are, and how the classes you've taken and the people you've met here will help you in your greater life goals."

You know, a really easy subject.

"Oh, and Mister Starsmore, please see me after class."

Considering that Ariel still had that darned PuddiPuddi song stuck in her head, she was hoping that it wouldn't negatively effect her duet today. It was troublesome that, as she set out the usual snacks and drinks for everyone, she had to really concentrate to remember her song. The power of the PuddiPuddi was just that strong.

"Okay, guys! It's time for our Duets competition, so I hope you found a really good partner and worked on something extra impressive. I know I did." And, of course, she flashed Ellie an extra big smile there. "Like I said a few weeks ago, Master Skywalker and Mister Deadpool will being our judges; they're disqualified from competing although we'd love to still see another duet from them all the same, right? And then the winner gets dinner at Il Pollo! Who wants to go first?"

"Welcome back, everyone," Summer began, once her students had settled down and she'd managed to get the powdered sugar out of her hair. "I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed yourselves." Summer certainly had.

"Today we're going to talk about The Mary Celeste. It wasn't a shipwreck per se, more like a maritime mystery," she explained. "The Mary Celeste was a brigantine merchant ship famous for having been discovered on 4 December, 1872 in the Atlantic Ocean unmanned and apparently abandoned, despite the fact that the weather was fine and her crew had been experienced and able seamen." How odd was that?

"She was in seaworthy condition when she was found and there was a supply of over six months of food and water on board. Her cargo was virtually untouched and the personal belongings of passengers and crew were still in place, including valuables." That ruled out possibilities of marauders and pirates, as far as Summer was concerned.

"The Mary Celeste is often described as the archetypal ghost ship, since she was discovered derelict without any apparent explanation, and her name has become a synonym in British culture for similar occurrences." Summer wasn't sure what happened but there were numerous theories still circling today.

"What happened to The Mary Celeste's crew? There was no internal or external damage to be found, her cargo and crews' belongings were all accounted for and the food and water supply wasn't touched. There has to be some explanation," Summer mused. "No matter how crazy it may sound. So, what do you think happened?"
