Adah Price has a new (new to her, at any rate, because the borrowed copy seemed to have gotten at least a little bit of use at one point in time) medical book, one that was either going to make very little sense to her or would be depressingly familiar and ordinary. She didn't bother considering that it might fall somewhere in the middle. She didn't think it would be possible, all things considered. Either way, there was a new book, so the chances of productivity today were pretty much slim to none.

The Danger Shop appeared to be set up as a normal classroom, bits and pieces of technical equipment lying around. It was only on looking up that would show any difference - an almost pitch black space, scattered with stars.

"We are all insignificant." Mohinder looked enthused at the idea, as he continued, "Occupying only a little space and time on a minor planet, under an ordinary star which is itself one among many, in one of innumerable galaxies. On such a scale our actions are unimportant." He paused, "Though I doubt that will work as an excuse for a missed class."

"But five hundred years ago the most common view was of an earth-centric universe." Mohinder briefly covered the leading figures, behind that change of thought. He picked up a handheld telescope from the desk at the front of the classroom. "The invention of the telescope finally meant there was the opportunity to back their claims with evidence."

"There are, in front of you, all you need to build a refractive or reflective telescopes. Pair up, and take a closer look at the stars." Mohinder pointed up.

There were more baked and sugary goodies today as Wilson leaned against the front of his desk and sipped at his coffee, watching the class file in.

“Good morning everybody," pulling the overhead projector films from his satchel, Wilson walked over to the projector and flipped it on.

“All right, let’s get started today. We’ve got a lot of material to cover.”

"Today we discuss lying," Anakin said as he closed the classroom door precisely on time. "Everyone lies. 'Of course that doesn't make your butt look big.' 'You like her, I like her.' 'I'm totally okay with you moving on.' 'Everything's fine, why do you ask?' It's how the world goes around because no one wants to be trapped in a conversation where someone whines at you for hours on end about how awful their life is."

He looked around the room. "Trust me. Everyone's life is terrible. They're just not telling you about it. Be grateful."

He reached onto his desk for a piece of paper. "Today we're conducting an exercise to see how well you pass this particular social ritual, then we'll discuss whether you think it is necessary. We're playing two truths and a lie. I'll tell you three things about myself and you have to decide which one is the falsehood. Then you'll all tell three things and we'll see how well you can either read each other or keep things hidden."

He gave them a small smile. "I'm very good at this." He schooled his face to absolute neutrality, put his mental blocks up to bar any psychics in the room from gaining an advantage, then recited: "During a war at home I was known as 'The Hero Without Fear.' I named my children after people I met in Fandom. I've never been beaten in one-on-one lightsaber combat." His eyes challenged them to call him out. "Who's next?"

This week the Dangershop was set up with a comprehensive obstacle course, however rather than last week's Bentley, there was a boxy looking, lime green car at the start of the course. After all, even in simulations, Bond wasn't going to let anyone near a car like that without knowing they could handle it.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond began, leaning against the car door. "Today follows on somewhat from last week's class, allowing me to see your level of driving ability as you take the car around the course. Now, the thing to remember is that today I merely want to see how well you handle the car, it's not a race, you're not going to get points for flashiness, or have them taken away for crashing. Unless of course, you crash while attempting something smart. Please don't try that."

After demonstrating the proper way to take the course, Bond moved over to the passenger seat of the car.

"Now, who's first?"

Bridge arrives at the library a few minutes earlier than usual, glad that missing the first week doesn't seem to have affected the status of his job. He is, however, a little nervous about what the new librarian must think of him.

This week the class met in the Danger Shop as had been discussed last week. However, when the students filed in, the room looked like a normal classrom.

"Good morning," John greeted them. "Today we're going to be looking at a few things, that while technically not invasions are definitely things to watch out for.
