A sign hangs from Spider's desk and the cat is batting at it absently.

Gone fishing

Krycek is in charge until I return, which should happen on or about November 28. If he or Gavin tell you to do something, please do it. This is what Assistants are for, after all.

Krycek, Gavin, I left lesson plans in my quarters. Feel free to amuse yourselves with your classmates the lessons.

The rest of you, please write 100 words on a family member, guardian or commanding officer. Not that this excludes my Assistants from the assignment, it merely forces them to grade them as well.

In case of emergency, please see Dean Bristow.

Greetings, everyone. Help yourselves to the snacks--god knows I won't eat enough of them.

There will be no class next Friday, as it falls in the Thanksgiving holidays. I know you are all crushed. And, since I am in a generous mood today, you will be taking a quiz.

Once it is completed, you may leave. *Smiles pleasantly.*

[She's jamming out, but it's not that loud. She's making all kinds of notes, and the first person walks in on a private phone call...

Methos is in a good mood again. There might well be whistling.

The salamander is not whistling. Methos occasionally addresses it by some of the suggested names, but so far it has not responded to any of them.

ETA: Shoved out by Janet, Methos pastes a sign on the door: Now accepting applications for library assistants.

Pool table, puppies, kittens, pizza, drinks, and loud music. Study hall is pretty chaotic today.

There is also a mechanical device spread out in slightly charred pieces of Sarah's desk. Anybody who looked at her badly scribbled notes might think it was a very crude amateurish attempt at a time machine.

Sarah is nowhere to be seen.

Drusilla is reading over last week's essays and growing increasingly angry. She glares at Cameron, then scribbles on an essay, then glares at Cameron again.

"Murder," she snaps, after everyone has signed in. "What drives one to murder another? Ignore petty questions of self-defense or euthanasia. This isn't an ethical debate. What causes one person to murder another? Is it insanity?"

"We're going to work on class projects. Joint class projects. This counts as your midterm grade." Drusilla looks irritated at the thought of handing out projects. "You're going to develop psychological experiments to be run on your fellow students." She thinks for a minute. "You should probably have their permission first, so do a permission slip. And don't hurt the little boys and girls irreversibly. Don't run the experiment, though. That comes later, after your midterms have been approved and the player gets OOC permission from the mods for you to do them."

She looks around. "Pair up. Cameron, you get to be partnered with whoever's left over, or if someone is out today. Then each of you discuss what you'd like to do, and write a 100 word proposal for your experiment. We'll talk about experimental design another time." Drusilla's smile was malicious. "And at that time, we'll introduce you all to hell statistical analysis."

Drusilla looks angry. "Cameron Mitchell. Vala Mal Doran. See me after class. Separately."

"Anyone who has missed a class essay needs to make it up or I'll start giving detentions for missed homework. This includes excused absences. If you'd rather not go back and look up what was missed, come and see me and we'll work out a special project for you to do to make up your grade."

Boring Stuff )

OOC: This was supposed to go up yesterday, but things were insane, and I'm still driving my husband to and from the train station. That ends today, thank God. We can slow-play this as necessary.

[The Doctor's expecting his 123 students to either stop by or leave him a voicemail this morning. He hums quietly to himself and bounces a little.]

ZOMG! Did you hear what Ash called my class on the radio?

"Presentations today, my lovelies," Camulus is looking better than the last few days as he leans back with his feet up and a very intimidating-looking clipboard and red pen. "You may begin whenever you wish."

[[Won't be around much. Have a drag show/Transgender Awareness Week presentation to organise. *undulates in panic*]]
[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com
Parker looks like she wants to shoot *you*. Or maybe just anyone.

"Nothing really planned for today. Compare weapons, if you want? I'm going to try to kill this one target."

*BANG!*

Today Charlie has apples and oranges. Feel free to snag one as you sign in.

"Lisa Cuddy has detention for missing two classes last week."

Justin looks worn, tired and unsettled but today is teaching day for him so he tries his best to present information correctly.

[OOC: I knew I forgot to post something.]

"Hey dudes! Bill and Rufus can't make it this week, but they said to say hi! And Rufus sent a gift basket." He pointed to the giant gift basket on the round table. It contained fruit, junk food, soda, mp3 players and, for some inexplicable reason, several cages complete with bedding, food, water, a running wheel and a little domestic mouse. "You dudes can take whatever you want. This week we're gonna come together and do a 'where are we now?' discussion. Once you've signed in, just say how you feel about where you are so far in this class, and what you want to do by the end of the class."

Towards the end of class, Ted spoke again. "Oh! I got a call from Lorne-dude who runs the karaoke bar in town. He's looking for a band to make a guest appearance once a week. So.. I'm gonna be playing and if anyone wants to join me, and you know how to play your instrument, sign on up and we'll play in town one night a week."
[identity profile] brambless.livejournal.com
Tara's eyes are shadowed as she greets the class, tension permeating her body.

"I'm sure you've all heard the announcement by now. Angelus has been accused of killing Kitty Pryde - which leaves us short one TA, but up an interesting Ethical question.

"Today we're going to discuss punishment for crimes done."
[identity profile] brambless.livejournal.com
Tara lingers after class in case anyone needs to talk to her.

[ooc: I know there's like, five posts in a row from me. Sorry. I'm out tonight, and I want everything to be here so I don't have to set it up when I get home again.]

'Today - Climate zones!'

'The worldwide system of winds, which transports warm and cold air very great distances away from the source regions, influences significantly the climates of the world. This worldwide wind system is called the general circulation of the atmosphere, and it gives rise to the Earth's climate zones. Although the changing of the seasons and the positions of large oceans and continental landmasses affect these climate zones, they provide a general approximation to the different types of climate seen on Earth.

The Earth's general circulation arises as a result of the temperature difference between the equator and the poles. This latitudinal temperature gradient produces atmospheric pressure differences which generate winds that transport the equatorial heat north and south to higher latitudes. The Earth's rotation however, deflects the northerly and southerly components of this atmospheric circulation, by means of the Coriolis force, clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere. Thus, global winds tend to be more easterly and westerly rather than northerly and southerly.'
