Camping 101; Friday, 3rd Period [06/14].

In a shocking turn of events, no doubt, the class had been notified and informed to meet in the Danger Shop this week. Which meant that the landscape was looking a little different, but Gladio was still waiting with the usual hiking packs. It was also night time, with a whole sky full of stars.

"Now," Gladio said, "one aspect of camping that's a little hard to do during our usual class time is the whole settling in around a fire before turning in for the night, telling stories and maybe singing campfire songs and enjoying the stars." And, of course, there was a little extra softness there in his grin at that. Anytime you get these Insomnia boys talking about stars and sunrises, really... "So I brought the night to us. Your packs have flashlights and lights you can clip onto your shirts for visibility, and you see that faint blue smoke rising up out of the trees? That's our destination. So gear up, head out, and I'll lead the way. When we get there, I'm hoping we can all share some good stories or campfire songs, so think about a few you might have while we hike, and we'll go from there."

Yoga; Friday, Fourth Period [06/14].

Rosa felt like she should earn a reward, if she managed to get through this class of yoga on the beach, considering her class roster, without mentioning anything about spicy meat.

Let's see how she does! On her side was the fact that, honestly, the least she had to interact with the students, the better, but there was always that inner troll who liked to test the limits of that...

But anyway.

"Right," she said, "so, today, we're moving onto the Vishuddha chakra, or the throat chakra. No points for guess where this one's located. And, as you'd probably guess from a chakra located in the throat, it's all about self-expression and communication. It's associated with your ability to express your thoughts and emotions clearly and concisely, which ties in with being honest and authentic. So when you find yourself at a loss for words, or closing yourself off from people, or just lying straight through your teeth, your Vishuddha chakra is closed. I would argue that knowing when to keep this chakra open and when to shut it down is an incredibly important skill and don't necessarily see a closed throat chakra as a necessarily bad thing. I'm sure plenty would argue with me on that, blah blah blah, balance or whatever, but anyway. The color of the throat chakra is blue, it's associated with the apparent element of sound, and it's symbol is a sixteen-petaled lotus. Let's get into some moves that'll help you open that throat chakra when you want it open."

There was a pause.

"Yes, I hear the joke in there, too, we're all adults here, let's try to be mature."

Food Network Appreciation, Friday 6/14 2nd Period

"Good morning, everyone,” Stark said. “Welcome back. I saw, well i read from the squirrels, that the Earth Tourism class went to Italy this week so I thought we could have Italian food as well. And watch a show about Italy and the food there. It's a bit early for most things I think of when I think of Italian food but why would that stop us? But no pizza today. There's a whole class just for that on Tuesdays and Raiden makes very good pizza.”

Was Stark babbling a little today? Yes. Was that normal? Also yes.

“There's a show called Everyday Italian and the host has done other shows as well if you enjoy watching her. We'll watch a bit of this, focusing on dessert recipes, and have some food while we do. I know it's really still breakfast time but I have Gelato anyway. And sorbetto. And some other Italian desserts. I like the cannoli. Enjoy!”

Wonders of the Weave, Friday - 6th Period

"Last week we covered evocation magics, a much more aggressive and offensive style. And this week we work on the opposite of that with abjuration," Gale said with an enthusiastic smile for the class. Because learning was fun, wasn't it? Wasn't it? "Now, abjuration is a school that focuses more on avoiding the damaging effects of spells cast at you through shield, or banishment, or countering the spells before they can even be completed."

Nothing more annoying than a counterspell, folks. Just... takes the wind right out of your sails, so to speak.

"The most basic of these would be simple shield spell that can be cast as a reaction whilst in combat. As such, that will be our primary focus!"

Doctoring 101, Friday, Per 1

Another day, another portal, another trip into Navaan's reality. You guys were getting to see so much good stuff! And learning to really understand where she came from and why she was the way she was! (Understanding is the best part of friendship, isn't it, bestie <3 <3)

"All right, so today we're going into one of the scariest, most horrific places I can think of," Navaan declared, standing in front of a tall, and elegant-looking building that practically gleamed in the light. "One day, when I have a big enough group, I'm gonna come back and burn this place out, but, sadly, today is not that day. Perhaps, after experiencing the atrocities inside, you'll decide to join me, but that's for another day. Today is just a scouting mission and may whatever god you worship, even Sithrak, have mercy on your soul once you witness what lies within." She took a deep and fortifying breath. "That's right, today, I'm bringing you to...a hospital. Chip up chaps, and gird your loins - probably for good sex afterwards, but whatever. Let's go."

And with her shoulders back and head held high, in Navaan marched.

Improvisation in Action [Friday, 5th Period]

Your teachers were here for the third class in a row, they deserved some kind of medal for this.

"So, kids, improvisation is a skill that has many applications throughout your daily life," Aphra explained. "For example-"

"Romance!" Isabela announced from where she was scrolling through her phone. "Flexibility, imagination, and willingness to stretch yourself are all vital. Especially if you want to connect with a wide variety of people."

"Exactly," Aphra added after a barely noticeable pause. "You have to be willing to seize your opportunities where you find them." Like during a firefight when you thought you and the object of your affections might both shortly die.

"And what better way to demonstrate that than speed-dating, where you have to make your choices on your feet."

Yes. Speed-dating. This had totally been their planned class all along.
