Camping 101; Friday, 3rd Period [06/14].
In a shocking turn of events, no doubt, the class had been notified and informed to meet in the Danger Shop this week. Which meant that the landscape was looking a little different, but Gladio was still waiting with the usual hiking packs. It was also night time, with a whole sky full of stars.
"Now," Gladio said, "one aspect of camping that's a little hard to do during our usual class time is the whole settling in around a fire before turning in for the night, telling stories and maybe singing campfire songs and enjoying the stars." And, of course, there was a little extra softness there in his grin at that. Anytime you get these Insomnia boys talking about stars and sunrises, really... "So I brought the night to us. Your packs have flashlights and lights you can clip onto your shirts for visibility, and you see that faint blue smoke rising up out of the trees? That's our destination. So gear up, head out, and I'll lead the way. When we get there, I'm hoping we can all share some good stories or campfire songs, so think about a few you might have while we hike, and we'll go from there."

Class Activity: Campfire Stories and Songs - Camping, 06/14.
"This is the place," he said. "Let's set up camp, get a fire going, and then it's time to share some stories. If you want. If you've got 'em. It's a pretty big part of camping culture, though, so I'm sure a lot of you have a story or two that fit the bill. I know a lot of times, these stories tend to be a little scary, using the darkness and the effect of the fire and the mystique of the wilderness to really enhance the effect, but they don't have to be. They should all be fun, though, and engaging, and just meant to bring camaraderie and a way to unwind after, presumably, a long day of trekking through the woods.
"We've also got stuff to make some nice cinnamon roll-ups or pigs in a blanket over the fire or some campfire popcorn to enjoy with the stories, too."

She tilted her head to look up at him. "Did you hear radio this morning? I think we ought to be snuggly in yoga class this afternoon."

So it was definitely much easier to just focus on the rest of what Nell said, with a soft huff of a laugh. "Yeah, apparently, we need to step it up on the obnoxiousness. Guess we've been slacking."
Re: Talk to the Teacher - Camping, 06/14.
She blushed a little, remembering. "That day you took me for a walk and told me you liked me."

And it really went to show how time was all about perspective. Ten years could be an absolute slog, while just a single year seemed to have gone by like it was nothing...
And now his head tilted a little curiously her way.
"Think you want to do something special to celebrate?"
Re: Talk to the Teacher - Camping, 06/14.
"Might be fun," she said. "At least I could recreate that first dinner for us."
Re: Talk to the Teacher - Camping, 06/14.
Finger still curled at his chin, he grinned down at Nell.
"Can I stubbornly insist on carrying you home from the park beforehand?"

"So bossy!"
Then his own affronted look broke into a grin, and he leaned down to kiss her.
"Perfect."
Re: Talk to the Teacher - Camping, 06/14.
She was happy to return the kiss. "Maybe tomorrow? Or Sunday?"
