"Well, yellow, yellow," said Prompto, unable to help himself, because he was, after all, just a mere mortal and, even worse, a dad now, which just gae him licence to make terrible jokes like that with absolutely no shame or abandon, "I hope you've all had a good weekend and are ready to show off some of your shots for the yellow assignment, and then, surprise surprise, we'll be jumping into our next color: green!

"Who's up first this week?" he asked, with a grin around the room. "Let's see what you've got!"

Yukari might have gone with something a little different or even more elaborate for today's class, but when she saw there was already some setting for a medieval style battlefield with a castle looming in the background (it was only a model, though!), and a lot of weapons already crammed in there? Of course she was going to go the lazy resourceful route and use that for today's lesson! So....welcome to Generic Medieval Fantasy Game, everyone!

"Today," said Yukari, as she gestured toward the sweeping wooded field, "we're going to focus a little bit on RPG games....that means Role-Playing Ga...aame games," yes, she realized that one a bit too late, hold on a second, let her get her PIN number, too, while she was at it. "Mostly with a focus on the Japanese style of RPGs, although there are some really great Western ones out there, too! Now, if you're really looking for a chance to escape into a video game world, these are the games where you play a character in a full-fledged story, so they're great for that, especially the ones that let you customize your characters! Don't worry, I know we already did the Create Your Character class, so we won't spend a lot of time on that today, but we will be focusing on character archetypes: by tapping into the JRPG trope of using job classes to determine what your character can do, and then trying our hand at some classic JRPG turned-based combat, which means actions are done by taking turns!

"So take a few moments to decide on what job class you want to be, get your costumes and your weapons, and then it'll be time to take on some big bad monsters!"

Beta's player managed to wake up on time for once could swear she kept hearing birds singing from somewhere deeper into the stacks, but any time she tried to scan the area with her Focus it didn't turn up a single bird. Or mechanical device playing bird sounds.

Just cheerful, disembodied chirps and warbles, because that wasn't unsettling or anything.

Nobody mind the slightly irritated library aide occasionally wandering back there with an exasperated sigh and re-emerging with an even more exasperated look on her face.

"Let's talk about what to do if somebody's bleeding," Don told his students. "It's probably the first thing you think of when it comes to first aid, right? What is it moms tell their kids? 'Don't bother me unless somebody's bleeding.'" Did moms tell their kids that? It seemed like they did, but Don had never been a kid.

Medical talk and talk of blood under here. )

"Right," Steve said, pulling on his protective paintball jumpsuit as he talked, "today we've made the course substantially more difficult."

Since most some of you took this a little seriously. "There are more traps around the area that will trigger paint buckets to fall on you. So the course itself is also trying to eliminate you, as well as your fellow players."

"So, hopefully it'll prove to be a challenge on your level," Tony added. "Hopefully."

Look, they were doing their best with you crazy people.

"You also can't use your powers any longer," Steve said, arching his eyebrow at Anakin.

"So please be respectful of your classmates." Tony knew that was a fool's errand, but still.

When students arrived at the classroom, they would discover a notice on the door:

Your professor overextended himself. Go home and play with cats.
