Cassidy hadn't been feeling well most of the week, so she had stayed in her room. However, she seemed to be feeling a little better today, and that's why she was early for her shift.

She straighted up everything she was supposed to take care of -- and made sure that all of the books were behaving themselves. Once she was satisfied with that, she selected a book on self-defense, one on languages and one on mythologies of the world and returned to the desk.

The library was going through one of it's more peaceful moments, it seemed.

"So this weekend was a bit...odd," Anakin began as he walked into the room. "Many of you saw glimpses of your lives and how they might be going in twenty years, though how exact your memories are seems to vary from person to person." He leaned back against his desk. "Today's discussion was supposed to be about sloth: not the animal, the deadly sin. Sloth is the biblical way of defining goofing off, apathy, the general urge to let life pass you by without putting for any real effort to steer yourself."

He glanced around at the students. "Given what you saw and remember from the weekend, tell me if you have an urge to slide into the life you might have in twenty years. Did you like what you saw? If you don't remember anything, what does that signify to you? What do you think that means for your future?"

Anakin smiled. "I like to ask easy questions."

"I can hardly believe," said Jane at the beginning of class, beaming at her students after a pleased little sigh, "that we're already in April! It's been an incredibly interesting journey so far, and we've covered quite a lot of ground so far. But already it's time to start thinking about the looming final examination, and, to make it a little easier on everyone, I thought it would be best if we started reviewing. Next week, we'll have a class discussion over the topics we've gone over so far, but today I'd like to touch base again on the very heart of primatolgy, and that is ourselves, the primatologists.

"Now, you've spent all semester listening to my voice, yammering on and on about monkeys and apes and evolution and theory of mind, so I'm giving you a little break and I've found a documentary to give you a nice change of pace. Please take careful notes, so that you have some points of discussion for our class next week. And, if there are no further questions, well, then, we can begin!"

And, with that, class would begin, with very little narrative and mostly monologue.

Summer waited until her class settled in, before she began the lecture. "Hey guys, I apologize for having to handwavily cancel class before now. Things came up but everything is settled now. So, let me make up for that by covering a couple of topics today."

Making up for missed classes! )

"Now, that's what I've gathered from mythology. What about you? What do you know about naiads and mermaids?" She was curious to hear what her students had to say.

[OCD coming up!]

The Doctor opened the Danger Shop doors right on time for class to start. He looked alarmed to see them all there and then looked at the device on his arm that appeared to be some sort of leather bracelet with a doohickey on it. "She's definitely been tinkering with this. You!" he said to them, snapping back to the present. "All of you. Hello. Is it class time? Perfect. I need your help. I don't know why, but at some time in my own personal future, I'm going to program the Danger Shop to be an amusement park filled with zombie clowns that can only be incapacitated by cream pies. For reasons also unknown, but I can't wait to find out, the program is locked down so it won't end until all of the zombie clowns are cream pied into oblivion. That's where you come in. Can you cream pie the zombie clowns for me? To cut a long, complicated and very interesting story short, I have to go in search of a message I left myself in here and then go and save the universe from complete and total annihilation. It's about as interesting as it sounds. Off we go!"

He turned and ran into the amusement park, trying to dodge the zombie clowns that wanted to harass him. There were cream pie stations throughout the park. It was night time, of course, but the lights were all on and the rides were ready to go if you really wanted to ride one or use them as part of your zombie pieing plans.
