John was still a girl. And an unhappy-looking one at that.

But today he had to teach class and, boobs or not, he was there to get the job done. Once it seemed like most students had arrived, John got started. "Yeah, so for those of you without eyes I'm a chick. It's happened before and lasted a week so don't look to me for pity if you're in the same boat. Especially since my rack's better than yours." That was maybe an awkward comment. "Uh, let's move on. In honor of Fandom hating on some of us, I've ordered up Chinese and I'm sticking in a movie about how awesome Chinese food is. Or something. I don't know, there were subtitles and a lot of elaborate dinners involved. Anyhow, watch, eat, and try not to laugh too hard at your peers."

Huh, he shouldn't have limited that. "Or at me."

Kerrigan was all stalking, abrupt motions today - an irritability born of a fruitless week spent chasing a protoss Dark Templar around some ruins on Ulaan. Not that those were particularly obvious details.

She did not look like she was interested in long lectures today.

"Whoever has the biggest guns tends to win the war," she said, tersely. "New tech is always going to give you an advantage. It's also going to eat through your finances like a bad mold. You have to think about what you go for: maneuverability? Sheer firepower? Air superiority? You can't bank on everything, or you're going to be broke."

She motioned for her TAs to distribute some schematics to the class.

"Here's some examples of innovation from my time and world," she said. "Now here's a thought experiment. If you're fighting a war on your own homefront, what would you go for? What would work best for the terrain? Heavy tanks might look like a cool idea, but get them stuck in the mountains and they're sitting ducks. Take these schematics as an example, and sort out in which direction you'd want to develop your tech. Do you go for mobility, or firepower? Quicker deployment, or armored caravans? Speed or strength? Long-distance or short? Everyone's only got so much cash to throw at something."

Well, this should certainly be an interesting meeting, considering at least one half of the leadership was as definitively male as before, and the other half was...not so much. And that other half had the feeling that the majority of the fraternity members would be, still, in the same gender bent boat.

“Well,” Alexander, while wearing trousers, was still undeniably female...and randomly blonde, “we’ve...certainly had an interesting couple of days, but far be it for us to allow the peculiarities of the island from keeping us forging ahead with business as usual. We’ve decided that, in celebration of, er, well, being back,” which was code speak for being mostly female, “we’ll take it easy this week, with a little bit of, er, entertainment and food...”

Somehow, it felt more appropriate to leave the details to Zack at the moment, and that wasn’t just because of Alexander’s current gender.

“So, uh... We have a monster truck rally on the TV,” Zack shared, feeling maybe a tiny bit awkward, on account of still being a guy and all, “and soda, and hamburgers!”

... Zack didn’t actually like hamburgers, and couldn’t really stomach the thought of actually eating one, himself. But more for everyone else, right? He’d stick to his Mountain Dew.

“And, uh, please try to resist the urge to squirt ketchup at me,” he added, quirking a tiny smile. “I didn’t get to pick who turns into a girl and who doesn’t.”

Which, clearly, meant that he was totally fair game, yes.

“Actually,” Alexander offered with an arched brow at anyone else who might still be male, “don’t listen to Zack. We mustn’t just waste a whole day watching monster trucks on television and gouging like gluttons. I think it’s only fair that those of us feeling a bit less like ourselves take the opportunity to express how we may feel about things to those of us with more luck. And these bottles have such innovative squirting mechanisms that might be able to express a lot.”

Not that he was suggesting anything. Ahem.

If anybody needed Zack, he was going to probably spend the rest of the meeting backed into a corner and trying to hide behind his paper plate.

“All right, g...er....um...guys.” Alexander nodded. “That’s it then. Just relax, enjoy the trucks, and....well....” He hefted up a bottle of mustard and smirked, “have fun.”

Sorry, Zack. But Alexander did have to be a leader here.

Max was smirking when everyone came in, and he wasn't even trying to hide the fact.

"So, I had something else planned for today, but when I heard about everyone's little... changes yesterday, I thought we'd try something different." And it had turned out he'd totally lucked out in that those changes hadn't gone anywhere.

Yep, still smirking. "One of the most important things to understand in a fight are the advantages and disadvantages that both you and your opponent have based on your build. Height, muscle mass, center of balance, that sort of thing. Normally an instructor just has you fight against as many different people as possible, but some of you have a unique opportunity." Heh, heh, heh.

"Some of you can actually get a feel for things. The first thing you'll likely pick up on, probably have picked up on, are the disadvantages of your new build. The way your balance is off, the disadvantages of a new height, that sort of thing. Today we're going to do two things: drive those points home, and then see about identifying some of the advantages."

"So, first up? Obstacle course. You all know how these work by now. Get from the beginning to the end as quickly as you can." It wasn't exactly a typical obstacles course. There were some classic obstacles in there, but some of them were specifically designed to drive home certain advantages. Hand-holds on the climbing wall were spaced far enough apart to make it clear that height was pretty useful if you'd managed to get some more of it, there were a number of rope sections to demonstrate shifts in balance, and a couple of very tight squeezes that were intended to reward you for being small.

"Once we're done with that? You're going to redo any one of the exercises from earlier in this semester." Which meant Max had a lot of weapons prepared. "If you ended up changed, pay attention to what's easier and what's harder, and what's the same for you, then try to explain why. If you didn't change, partner up with someone who did and make sure you talk to them. Don't waste an opportunity like this."

Stiiiiill smirking.

"So, get to it."

"Bonjour," Sookie said, and if the straw-colored hair and huge brown eyes hadn't tipped everyone off as to who she was, that horrible accent had likely done it. "I know some of you are using an extra 'e' on the ends of your French nouns and verbs and adjectives today, or you're used to having one and it's gone, but we're still going to study, okay? Because a little gender-change isn't going to stand in the way of learning français. 'Specially not when we're talking about how to ask someone to Homecoming!"

Pause.

"...maybe wait until this wears off. Just a suggestion."

"Wait until it wears off." Even as a boy, Emma had an epic bitchface. "Here's some vocabulary basics to get you started. So let's all pretend we don't know each other, to save later embarrassment, and go flirt."

First period on the day when everyone should be back to their own real selves. Jaina expected people to be in better moods than they'd probably been since Sunday. She of course had gotten all thoughtful today, but whatever, she had her own body back. Therefore she was greeting the class with a smile.

"Welcome back. In more ways than one," she said. "I was going to give you guys something easy, but but what? )
