This week, the Danger Shop was outfitted as the Vancouver wilderness. In the center, Ronon stood in a clearing big enough to fit the class with amazing doors built into some trees. They were labeled Boys and Girls. Yup, locker rooms still standing.

"So," Ronon sighed, looking them over. "Some of you can't outrun the enemy. Some of you can't shoot the enemy. Let's see who can find a place to hide and who can seek you out." Yep, they were playing hide and seek. Or just hide, because the goal was to not be found. "I shouldn't be able to hear you, smell you, or see you. Do your best to cover your tracks in ten minutes and keep yourself hidden until the end of the period, or someone finds you. Sometimes the enemy passes your spot and you have to stay, no matter how strong the urge is to try and run the other direction. This is about self control and keeping your ass safe. Got it?" Let's hope they all did.

"Now, you've got two minutes to get your uniform and get back here for the timer. Go!"

Basic and Thaumaturgic Forensics - Wednesday, Period Four - 7/29

"Ethereal evidence," she started, smiling at the assembled.

"There's certainly a lot I could cover, but I'm going to keep things very basic. Ethereal evidence is anything which is not physical evidence; it's a poor definition, in some ways, but necessarily vague due to the various ways in which one might observe and use ethereal evidence."

She walked up to the blackboard.

"Ethereal evidence is the emotional content of the scene, memories or impressions left in a weapon or location, any connections sensed with thaumaturgy between an item and a suspect. It can be as simple as the way a man moves to tip a hat that has been lost in a struggle to the evidence provided by a ritual designed to locate the writer of a particular note. As we have had no crime, and one cannot produce ethereal evidence in such a space as this, we're simply going to discuss the matter, times when it has been helpful to it, and occasions when ethereal evidence can be either useful or misleading."

Sam was still feeling quite a bit off balance from all the dreams he'd had yesterday as he got the library set up for the day. His original nightmare had been bad enough, but the short ones were completely freaking him out. They were clear, just like his visions, but he never had visions about himself, only about others. Seeing himself doing things like fighting with Claire wasn't right at all. Then there was the fact that the dreams didn't hurt, and that when he came to again, real minutes had passed instead of just moments.

It was all strange and wrong, and Sam wondered if going to his dad when he was done here for the day would be a good idea.

Criminal Justice: Wednesday

Gibbs had decided that today he was going to set up a brand new class in the Danger Shop. By himself.

"Class is canceled," he growled and started passing out handouts. "We'll go over the results next week. Review the handouts which we are going to use for a future class. Dismissed."

Practical Weaponry [Wednesday, Period Four]

Today's class was being held in the auditorium.

"Good afternoon class," Bond said once they had finished filing in. "Today we're going to to be watching a film where the main character puts into practice the idea of using things you find in your environment as weapons. Admittedly, his environment is perhaps overly filled with things he can use as weapons, or indeed actual weapons, but the basc idea is still there."
