Today the Danger Shop was decked out to look like a screening room, complete with a large platter of what looked to be ham sandwiches there for the taking.

"Good afternoon," Bond began once the class was settled. "I trust you all enjoyed your break. Now, since your mid-term is next week, this class with be something of an easy one, as you'll be watching a film about survival in the mountains. So just sit back, take a sandwich, and pay attention to the screen."

Miss Bennet was in a particularly bright mood as she sorted papers into three piles on her desk.

"Today," she said, "I am a particularly cruel Literature teacher; I am going to make you read. Fear not, there is a purpose to it, although as your literature teacher, I am honor-bound to inform you that there is always a purpose to reading. Rest assured that I do not wish to harm your minds so soon after we've all had a quite refreshing break. The reading today is light, but moving nonetheless."

Miss Elizabeth Bennet leaned back against her desk, smiling. "On an extremely unrelated subject, I should like to note that I will be holding office hours on Saturday, should any of my students wish to bring loved ones by for a chat. I promise to be on my best behavior. I shall even make tea."

Ned lugged a few heavy bags into the Home Ec classroom in preparation for today's Cooking Club. He really should have planned better and recruited someone to help carry the bags but what's done was done. He was here now and he could go about setting things up.

"Um, hey," he greeted once everyone had made it into the classroom. "Hope everyone had a good break week. Mine wasn't bad. So, today, we're going to carve pumpkins in preparation for Halloween and the fall season. What does this have to do with cooking? Well, the innards of a pumpkin can be used to make pumpkin pie. Yeah, really. Pumpkin pie doesn't just come in a can. We won't be doing that today since it's a little intensive but sometime in the future we'll make some kind of pie. I just wanted to relate the carving of pumpkins to cooking."

With that said, Ned rolled out several pumpkins for people to carve.

"Please be careful with the knives but don't worry about getting dirty with this. It's more fun that way."

He grinned and started going to work digging out the contents of his own pumpkin.

"Today we're talking about problem solving," Nathan said. "As a leader, this is something you're going to have to do a lot. Step one may seem obvious, but it's something many leaders fail to do: accurately define the problem. Let's say someone comes up to you and says that they can't finish building a bridge because they ran out of money. Your people need that bridge built so you approve a higher budget. Does that solve the problem? What if the reason why the project was running out of money was because someone was stealing it? Or mismanaging the construction? Or because nobody researched to find out that you were building a bridge in the worst possible location?

"This is why the first step of problem solving is asking questions. What are the details of the problem? What's going on? Why is it happening? What do other people think about the situation?"

Nathan handed out cards with pictures on them. "Put together, all these cards tell a story. You each get one. You're not allowed to show anyone what your card is. Your assignment is to find out as much as you can about the story. Go around to your fellow students and ask them about their cards. What's on them? What's going on? Are their cards similar to yours? I'll give you a hint that they're numbered, so you may want to seek out those who have cards close to your number first, but that's not a requirement.

"Get as many details as you can. I'm here if you have any questions."

Sam was in the library a little early today, making a list of all the things he wanted to talk about with Missouri when she visited for the weekend. Whether or not she thought he'd be dying at the hands of Angela Petrelli in the future was not on the list, but the closer the weekend got, the more he wondered if it should be.

Turtle was sitting on the desk at the front of the classroom, munching on one of the muffins from the desk with a ton of snacks on it in front of her. Beside her, there was a presentation easel, with a big old drawing pad on it, with a picture (not very well drawn but artistry was one of the talents that did, in fact, skip Turtle; it was at least recognizable, though) of a tent on it. She waited until everyone had snacks and was settled before she started talking.

"Okay," she said, "so, last week, it seemed that a lot of us thought the Embarrassment Tent was a good idea. I think, today, we should polish out the product. We'll have to consider how we're going to produce the tents: should we just order them, or should we attempt to make them ourselves? If we order them, how can we personalize them to make them special? I love the invisibility spell idea; clearly, it will only be temporary, and hard to discern for how long, but we can add that in the terms of the product. Dor, you're going to be in charge of checking to see how possible that feature can be, considering you're the one from the crazy magic place. I was also thinking that something neat we could do is include a little kit in each tent: of things to do while you're in there to help you either cope with or forget why you're there in the first place. And, then, of course, there's always advertising to consider. Anyone have any ideas?"

Murdock was in a good mood as he started scribbling some notes on the chalkboard.

"Hey guys," he grinned at the students. "Hope y'all had a nice break. Not including that one weekend which won't be discussed at all during class. Right?" He glanced at the class, and in particular at Jack.

"Cool. So let's get to it then!"

Rikku was getting the hang of this editor gig. She hoped. Bring pastries and coffee and things seemed to go smoothly.

Teddy, look at that satellite.
It is SO BIG.
It looks like one of those Wormhole X-Treme sets
They only use those because they look like total alien technology
And the whole talking car thing was already taken.
...I can't believe we didn't think of that one before.
I like geek stuff and I cannot lie!
You other Kappans can't deny!
When a new Scifi series premieres, you get TiVo...
Order up a season pass. Make some room on the harddrive for that fine scifi slash.
...Wait, you read slash?
Well, I mean that stuff between Danning and Levant is pretty obvious...
I'm hooked, I can't stop staring.
Oh, I know a good site for that
Just avoid the pictures
Ew, didn't need to know that. Let's hear it for writing only.
It creepy and not cool, even with your average fangirl
Uh, girl? This club's for guys.
And what's it called?
Kappa Kappa Gremlin!
Hell yeah!

[It's like a poem, okay. *blames Elaine for writing the part that makes sense*]
