"I need something to complain about," Warren stated, taking a seat after helping himself to one of those donuts. "There's the parents... thing. That's coming up. I guess I could complain about that."

Really, Warren could complain about anything. It was simply a matter of singling out one thing to complain about.

"Do you have people coming?" Rikku asked. "You can complain about it either way. How annoying it is when people show up, or how much it sucks when they don't. You could also complain about classes, or having to write an article for the paper each week. I'd suggest hugs but you totally already used it."

"... No. I don't have people coming," Warren stated, flatly. "I'll come up with something. I'll save the rant about writing a new article every week for the end of the paper year."

"Sorry?" she said, biting her lip. "I, uh, don't either. I didn't mean to ... be rude."

Okay, she did have someone coming, but she didn't know about that, and was going to spend the weekend terrorized because of it. So.

"Definitely going to write about my arms next week," Lee decided. "And make it silly since I completely forgot this past week."

"Totally okay," Rikku said. "We had break, it's cool that we had an issue at all, you know? And if it's about your arms, then as the editor I'm gonna have to insist on pictures."

"Kinda flaked this week," Cal admitted, frowning slightly. "Not this week. I've got my eye out all weekend for something weird to happen. It's gotta. It's Parents' Weekend."

"It's okay, I know how it goes," she nodded. "Parents' Weekend is pretty weird by itself, you know. Just. Parents showing up. And considering us, some of our families have to be seriously messed up."

Cal just sort of looked at Rikku for a moment; he wasn't sure if he was thinking that the no shit in his head regarding his own family was just a succinct response, or if perhaps he was feeling inspired for his angle.

"Good point," however, was all he offered as an actual response.

"I'm all set to interview Miss Rosie at the Gig," Turtle announced, proudly, with a little bit of a bounce for excitement. It was going to be fun!

"Oooooh, that's the animal place, right?" Rikku grinned. "I wanted to take Petey over there. See if there's something wrong with him, or ... if he's just kinda dumb."

"I'll do a music review next week," Liz offered.

"Awesome," Rikku grinned. "Do you know what music yet? There's all kinds of crazy stuff at the place downtown. It's unbelievable."

"I'm not too sure," Liz said, "maybe doing an older music style, something like the Beatles?" she was a little bias when it came to that.

"I love the Beatles," Rikku grinned. "I think that'd rule. Help out anybody who hasn't heard their stuff yet, yeah?"

Liz nodded, "I think everyone needs to listen to them at least once," she said with a smile.

And his lovely wife, Mrs. Chatting.

Ask her how she got to be so damn awesome.

I would say we were out of bylines, but that's OOB. :(
