Today, the students would have a very depressed, confused, and generally unsettled teacher.

Glitch's head was on his desk, and there were bits of straw in his hair. On all the desks were small bits of materials. One iron, steel, copper, plastic, Moritanium, and cloth. They were all labeled, too.

He picked his head up just enough to rest it on his chin instead of his forehead and began his lecture just like that.

"There are different materials used in inventions on your desks. Examine them, I guess, and get some ideas for what you'll use in your projects."

There was a huge sigh and he blinked at them slowly.

"If you're going to work with a partner or in a group, let me know after class or in my office tomorrow." A pause. "And if you've got any idea as to how I can get this stuff out of my hair, I'd be glad to hear it."

Another sigh and Glitch lifted his head and let it fall back against his desk, face first, with a loud thunk.

Every once and again, students might notice that he'd pick his head up about an inch or two and let it fall again. The weekend had not been kind to him, and if anyone mentioned crows he might just start to weep softly.

"Let's talk about your money," Jean-Paul began class today. "Hopefully, you have some. If not, hopefully you will have some in the future. None of you came to me last week to tell me that you do not have money where you come from, so I am not worrying about that. Today, we are going to talk about currency exchange )

Deadpool was not chipper today.

Deadpool was not in the mood to teach.

Deadpool wanted someone to pay for his damn costume being ripped apart by a moron embodiment of war who refused to stop trying to kill him.

Deadpool... was making the kids watch a movie today.

"We will never talk about the weekend and teacher has a headache and will hopefully have a hangover by tomorrow."

A beat.

"So, enjoy 4:15 to Tuscon and no talking to me." He let his head drop on the desk and looked half asleep by the time it hit.

Must.  Not.  Mock.  Students.

Ghanima, who had happily been herself all weekend long, was feeling generous.  She had re-arranged the classroom slightly, and there was now a long table along one side of the room.  Thanks to handwaved stops by JGoB and the Perk on the way in, there were various moddable pastries, juices, teas, and large bottles of asprin.

Poor things probably needed it.

"Good morning, class!"  Okay, the level of cheer might be a bit cruel, but she couldn't help it.  "Today we are looking at Meso and South American mythologies.  Since there are a number of potential cultures we could examine, we're just going to look at the big three.  The Aztec, Incan, and Mayan mythologies will be our focus today."  Oh look, here come the packets!

"Good afternoon," she greeted the class, "and congratulations on making it through another delightful weekend here in Fandom. When you sign in, please use whichever name you think most appropriate, and hopefully it'll match my lists."

"Today, we're going to talk about support services. Things like health care, employment, roads, mental health treatment," and here she paused and looked at a couple of people in particular. "First, I'd like you to decide, as a plain old citizen, what you'd like your government to do for you--do you want them to provide you care, or guarantee a job, or subsidize activities in the arts? How do you think this should be paid for--nothing comes free, you know, especially in government."

"Once you've decided your personal answer to these issues, I'd like you to get together in small groups and decide how you're going to address them with your government. How would you change what you wanted, or how you were asking for these services, based on the type of government you were dealing with? What kind of approach do you think would be most successful?"

Sam was doing his best to not think about the weekend as he went to open the library. He was working especially hard to not think about being in Dean's room the night before. There were certain things little brothers just didn't need to know about their big brothers.

Wilson was there by first period to open up study hall for the day. He had a large cup of coffee and his briefcase full of his own work to keep him busy through the day.

"Hello again," Biff said with a small smile. "I guess your weekend was...eventful. Today we're going to address one of the reasons that people cling to religion: the hope that something lives on after the body has died."

He waved his hands towards three Muppets guests. "You might recognize our Chef. He's joined by two friends, and they are professional mourners."

He frowned. "At least, I'm pretty sure that's what he said. Anyway. They're going to sing a traditional dirge called 'Danny Boy,' and then you will pair up and try writing your own."

He grinned. "I spent some time as a professional mourner, so I know a good dirge when I hear one. But first...the Leprechaun Brothers!"
