There was a note of all of the students to meet Yondaime at the Danger shop and he waited there for them all. “Good morning,” he smiled sheepishly. “I hope that you are all prepared to be traumatized. Today we’re taking another break from language to dive into a little more of Japanese culture and learn about Love Hotels.” He paused not believing that he actually said that.

“Most young people in Japan live with their parents until they get married, which can make it difficult to be close to the person you love and so a lot of young couples use what are called love hotels. They can be rented by the hour or all night and come with decorations ranging from a normal hotel to the extreme like the Hello Kitty Bondage room.” He wasn’t blushing shush.

“The Japanese are very big on discretions and so when you get to the room, you’d find everything automated from the room service menu that in some hotels provides more than just food, pay stations on the television, karaoke and other amenities depending on the room rented. Also in most hotels you won’t ever see a person working there except for maybe the maids who come in to clean up the room when you’re done. Most check in is completely automated or the clerk is behind a frosted glass window. They don’t check ID either, if you’re old enough to pay then you’re old enough to play. Or at least that’s how the Japanese see it.”

“In the Danger Shop, it’s set up like a love hotel in Japan, so go a head and explore. Just know that you won’t get any of the dirty channels on the T.V. so don’t even try.”

Work, work, work. With a passing glance, Adah, clutching a mug of tea while her bag flopped heavily against her sigh as she limped in to open the library, passed the books entirely and decided that those would have nothing to do with the work she would do today. No, she'd only continue putting them back in the wrong places and, while she did sort of enjoy that, it was time better spent. Armed with a few keys to language, she settled in with books from her own room, the ones that looked the most worn, intent to unlock as many doors as she could in one day. With minor distraction for, well...having to do her job.

Maybe.

As the bell rang, Ghanima was (as usual) perched on the edge of her desk, feet swinging.

"Good afternoon and welcome," she said, smiling.
"It is important to note that this is not a safe profession.  Stunt performers and stunt doubles die every year.  No matter how highly trained or competent you are, it is not without risk."

Today there was snow.

SNOW.

This threw any lesson plans right out the window in Deadpool's book. Because, come on. SNOW.

"Morning kiddies!" Deadpool greeted the class as they arrived. And yes, he was wearing mittens and some bizarre hat too. "Today I was going to tell you about female ninjas as it is apparently Day of the Ninja here in the states. Yes, this came as a surprise to me as well. But then I discovered that female ninjas are nearly exactly the same as male ninjas."

He paused. "Only with boobs and no gentlemanly bits."

Very informative, right?

"So, instead we'll be celebrating snow! And Sinterklaas! Which is like a poor man's Dutch Christmas!" He punctuated the word 'Dutch' by throwing marzipan candies at the students. "Happy Sinterklaas! Go play in the snow!"

"Today, we're talking about something a little different." Lieutenant Kerrigan entered the Danger Shop suddenly, holding a laser pointer like it was a deadly weapon. "We've been working on the best way to function as a small unit against a major force-- but that leaves little room to deal with counter-strategies. Since that hasn't exactly been the focus of this class, we're just going to be taking a look at one of the most major of early opening strategies. Rushing."

She called up an image of a large quantity of Zerglings rushing down a hill into a base. "It's the art of getting a lot of units in before your enemy has been able to compose themselves enough to keep it at bay. In practice, for you guys, this may well easily become your life. Once the rush has breached the perimeter, you're lost. That doesn't mean, however, that it's an impossible strategy to deal with. What's important, and unfortunately we won't be able to fully go into the details on this due to the time, is maneuvering what units you do have at your disposal in such a way that they can take out as many enemies as possible while taking the least amount of damage."

The image shifted to show marines standing on the rocks on both sides of the base, firing into the masses. "Is your enemy short-range, use the higher ground to your advantage." It shifted again, giving way to images of poison-spewing Hydralisks instead. "If they possess firepower, you're going to want to distract them away from your more lethal units so they can do their damage." Firebats came up ahead to attack them while the marins still fired up above. "And don't forget about the importance of stationary defense. If you have any kind of automated defense system at your disposal, use it. If you don't, set someone up within the perimeter with the biggest gun you've got. Block your entrances. Keep your exits to a minimum. Deploying your base of fire in the right spot is half the battle already."

The images clicked away. "Mind your fire," she said, "Keep it suppressive from one location while you pick them off from the sides if you've got the firepower for it. And don't forget about your range -- if they've got long-range, you'll want your short-range up ahead on distract while your long-range grabs them. Now it's your turn. Have a go."
