"There are," Jean-Paul began his lecture today, "about as many kinds of numbers as you might care to think of. There are real numbers, imaginary numbers, perfect numbers, rational and irrational numbers, positive and negative numbers, and of course, prime numbers." He actually smiled at the class then. "Are you confused yet?"

"Today, I would like everyone to pair up, except we have an odd number of students on the roster--ah, that's another type of numbers, odd and even ones--so there will have to be one group of three if everyone is present. One of you will supply a number, and the other will figure out which categories it belongs in. I have provided information sheets to help you if you are unsure. Or you may simply figure out whether numbers are prime or not, either game is acceptable to me."

Squall wasn't alone in front of the classroom today. There was an annoying jingly green glowing bug zipping around, this way and that, gesturing rather emphatically. There was also a long clothes rack on wheels, filled with all kinds of outfits, taking up a good portion of one wall. Squall had, in fact, dragged the stupid thing all the way up to the school from downtown, and he wasn't terribly happy about it.

Das Schnitzel was the one out in the cafeteria today and she didn't look particularly happy. The Chef had gone on a cake baking frenzy last night and he was still going at it. So guess what was for lunch today?

-German chocolate cake

-Carrot cake

-A birthday cake that said "Happy Birthday Floyd!" for some reason

-Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing

Karal stumbled into the library, half-asleep and clutching a leather satchel, which was stuffed full of papers. What he should have been carrying, considering how bleary-eyed he was, was a large cup of coffee.

Unfortunately all he had were the papers, and possibly a pen or two.
