The classroom had all the chairs cleared out this morning, leaving a rug with a TV playing a movie, a couple of cozy coupe and a few big wheels to keep the kids entertained. There were two kids sitting on Deadpool's desk, one was giving the entire class as disdainful look because she was so much cooler than any of them. The other tried to look the same but ended up grinning a lot.

Deadpool stepped forward and started to talk. "So! You all have your final coming up soon and you know what that means." A pause.

"That they're all gonna fail?" The girl asked.

"No, they're not all going to fail," Deadpool replied, much to her dismay. "It means that today is a blow off day during which we all pretend to study for the exam. Here's a hint kiddies, if you didn't crash the car, you'll probably pass the final. Whether or not you pass at the DMV is up to you."

The little boy disappeared halfway through this to go play on top of one of the cozy coupes. "KARYUU, GET DOWN BEFORE I GET PUNCHED BY ARASHI FOR GETTING YOU A CONCUSSION."

Sam managed to pass all of his kids off to other people to watch during his library shift, except for his Ethics egg baby. But, he didn't think he had to worry much about Benedict making a mess.

[Open! Please do not break the egg baby, but feel free to break Sam. *g* I will be on slowplay during the day.]

Today, Logan was not alone in the Danger Room, his partner being a young girl with dark blonde hair and a confident grin. Logan glanced at her as everyone took their seats and she bounced on her toes before stepping forward

"Hullo," she said, trying to seem prim, but ruining it with an excited bounce. "My name is Nighten, and I'll be teaching your class today. My daddy says it's supposed to be about computers and how they can also be friends or com- ah, com-pan-ions.

"Computers can do that by being smart or strong and helping people. Sometimes they're robots, too, so they can lift things or walk your dodo for you."

Nighten looked very excited as she looked at everyone. "Today, you will be coming up with a list of things you would want from your robot compagne. Ah, I mean, companion," she said quickly. "And then we will try to make one here in the danger room, to match your speficication." She waved her hands. "So, go on, I'll be around shortly!"

[OOC: So, yes, work with your kiddies if they're in class, and then you'll get a random robot thrown at you to do with as you will! It might match your specs or be crazy and/or malfunctioning, since Nighten's never actually programmed a Danger Room before. Have fun!]

Turtle came in and dropped a big box onto the table and drew in a deep breath. "H'okay, listen up." She turned an eye sharply around to the others and any potential...children. "Glitter stuff came in, so today's our manual labor day, because we're good little self-made capitalists here." With potential child laborers, bonus. "There's a little instruction chart up on the board to follow, but it's pretty simple. The important part is gonna be the labels. We can bottle 'em up and then tomorrow, come in, grab your supply, and start selling! Make yourselves a projected quota and try to reach it. If you don't, then...I don't know, we cut off your finger? I got nothin'. If you don't, well, then, you suck and are a shame to the club and your country."

She grinned winningly. "Let's work."

As per her conversation yesterday with Professor Orpheus, Luna keyed in a sequence to the danger shop that caused it to set up things to look more like a playground than a setting for proper duels.

Because people really didn't need to be dueling when they had children in tow, and Luna had two with her.

Anyone who happened by was completely welcome to come in and enjoy some play time.

[ooc:OPEN TO EVERYONE not just Dueling Club members! OCD is up! Ummm, yeah, I was totally channeling weetiny when I typed Freshments! In my head? Totally said Refreshments! *face.hands*]

Abby was standing at the door of the danger shop, handing out hardhats along with the usual labcoats. "Welcome to the last class. I'm really sad that this class is ending, I've had a fun time killing off your fellow teachers and classmates."

"Today we're going to be focusing on one last aspect of forensic science." Abby said, donning her own hard hat. "Figuring out the differences between an accident and a homicide."

"Not everyone that dies has been killed." Abby lectured. "And sometimes murders can be set up to look like accidents. You need to be smarter than the cops, smarter than the doctors, smarter than the criminals to solve these type of crimes."

She flashed up two scenes on the plasma screen, both of drowning victims. "These scenes are similar, but one was an accidental drowning and the other was a homicide. There are a few obvious clues and some not-so-obvious ones."

Waiting until the class had finished talking about the scenes, Abby herded them to the door that led to the crime scene. It opened into a large warehouse, complete with piles of wood pallets and flickering lights.

In the center of the room was a puddle of water and an electrical wire surrounding the body of Jake Gavin. "You're job is to figure out if Jake died as a result of an accident or somebody killed him. Oh, the wire isn't live so none of you are in danger. I just think hard hats are fun to wear."

Wednesday, April 18, Period One

As had been announced the previous week, the class met in the Danger Shop. Today it was programmed to look like an open field, the perimeter cordoned off with yellow tape. A number of men and women in white lab coats and safety glasses milled around, and a firetruck was parked off to the side.

"No lecture today," M announced, approaching the assembled students. "Today, you'll have the opportunity to test out one of our agents' favorite inventions -- the Jetpack."

She gestured toward a small knot of technicians, who were making final checks on what appeared to be a number of bulky-looking parachute packs.

"Each Jetpack is fitted with a sensor which will not allow it to leave the marked boundaries, as well as a medical monitor which will switch the equipment to autopilot and return it safely to us should any of you become ill. Or if you begin using the Jetpacks in a manner which is hazardous to yourself or others."

M looked each student sternly in the eyes. "I expect you all to exercise caution and common sense when utilising this equipment. Now..." She pursed her lips. "Go and have fun."

As she stepped aside, the technicians approached, gave a quick demonstration on how the Jetpacks operated, and then assisted the students in fitting the equipment on.

[OOC: Playtime for today's class! Fly around in the Jetpacks, play chicken with the other students, have races, do whatever you like. Just remember that the Danger Shop safety protocols will not allow you to be injured, and the equipment is programmed to return you to M if things get too out of hand. So please, as M says, use common sense. Otherwise -- have fun! But not until the OCD is up, so fun-having may now commence!

Also: If you haven't signed up to let me know what kind of participation you plan to have for the Final Exam, PLEASE go to THIS POST and drop a tag in one of the OCD threads.]
