Library [04/17]

Sam managed to pass all of his kids off to other people to watch during his library shift, except for his Ethics egg baby. But, he didn't think he had to worry much about Benedict making a mess.

[Open! Please do not break the egg baby, but feel free to break Sam. *g* I will be on slowplay during the day.]

One of those small children had decided that being with her daddy in a new library was a much better idea than sitting with her mommy in class.

"Morning, Daddy." She said, blinking up a little sleepily at the desk.

"New library," she pointed out, wandering behind the desk and leaning against his side.

Emily peeked her head in the door, looking around for an adult. When she didn't see one right away, she darted inside, and went to find a book to look at. Something shiny with nice pictures, maybe.

Books that weren't shiny? Went on the floor.

Emily doesn't notice Sam, holding several books in her hands and letting them drop one by one as she deems them unfit. "Boring, boring, boring..."

Marcie thought this looked like a great idea. She escaped Angela's grasp and went to toss books about with Emily.

"Do any of these have pwincess pictures?" she asked.

"I dunno," Emily says, frowning as she peeks in another one. "Most of these don't got any pictures. You wanna help me look?"

Angela came in holding Marcie by the hand.

"We don't have any kid's books, do we?" she asked the air.

"Books about pwincesses," Marcie contributed. "And spies."

"Hi, Sam. The princesses are fine," Angela shrugged, letting Marcie go to join Emily as she went to leaf through the fairy tales. "So how many theoretical future children did you get?"

Mia had gotten away from Daddy and Kimberly after Driver's Ed, because Daddy was too busy staring at Auntie Z's kids in horror.

The little red not-quite-blur made her way into the library, stopped, and picked up the shiny bell to ring it.

A lot.

Mia blinked up at him, still holding the bell. "You look kind of like my daddy," she informed him. "But I know you're a 'poster 'cause you're not wearing enough red."

Grace loved her Daddy, but he really couldn't cook. Deciding she'd much rather explore than eat his idea of lunch, she slipped off and headed to the library. She'd overheard that Sam worked there today and she hadn't seen him in ages and ages.

Pushing open the door she walked in and called out, "Sam? I'm here to visit you!"
