Library [04/17]

Sam managed to pass all of his kids off to other people to watch during his library shift, except for his Ethics egg baby. But, he didn't think he had to worry much about Benedict making a mess.

[Open! Please do not break the egg baby, but feel free to break Sam. *g* I will be on slowplay during the day.]

Mia had gotten away from Daddy and Kimberly after Driver's Ed, because Daddy was too busy staring at Auntie Z's kids in horror.

The little red not-quite-blur made her way into the library, stopped, and picked up the shiny bell to ring it.

A lot.

Mia blinked up at him, still holding the bell. "You look kind of like my daddy," she informed him. "But I know you're a 'poster 'cause you're not wearing enough red."

Mia looked down at her own bright red soccer jersey, then looked back up at Sam and scowled. "Wearing red doesn't mean you're evil!" she exclaimed, stomping her foot several times -- and ringing the bell every time she stomped.

Mia stuck her tongue out at him. "Catch me first," she said -- having a wee British accent made statements like that even more imperious, somehow -- and started running around the tables.

After a certain amount of time even a weetiny red almost-blur isn't a match for someone much taller at normal speed, sadly, and once Mia bumped into a table leg and fell onto her rear, she was easy prey.

If you think of a bouncy little six-year-old soccer girl as prey.

Which, given what a brat she could be, was rather likely.

Mia pouted and started to sniffle. "I knew you were an evil 'postor!"

Mia sniffled some more. "Took the bell away. Not nice. You get a yellow card!"

"No," Mia decided. "But you still get a yellow card, an' I get a free kick."
