Library [04/17]

Sam managed to pass all of his kids off to other people to watch during his library shift, except for his Ethics egg baby. But, he didn't think he had to worry much about Benedict making a mess.

[Open! Please do not break the egg baby, but feel free to break Sam. *g* I will be on slowplay during the day.]

Emily doesn't notice Sam, holding several books in her hands and letting them drop one by one as she deems them unfit. "Boring, boring, boring..."

Sam moved to stand beside Emily, drawing himself up to his full height in an attempt to look intimidating. "Excuse me. What are you doing?"

"Looking for good books," Emily says without looking up, crouching down and pulling an entire half of a row of books out to look through with random cover and page flipping. "Maaan, none of these are good!"

"Stop, stop for the love of god," Sam said, trying to grab her and pull her away from the books. "If you want a good book, you need to ask me, not start making a mess." He was beginning to wonder if Alec had some kind of 'drive Sam crazy' gene that he'd managed to pass down.

Emily darts away from Sam's hands with a touch of transgenic speed. "I just wanna look! You don't know what I want!"

Sam bit back a comment that wasn't appropriate for young ears, and glared again. "Okay, fine. You can look. But you can only look at one book at a time, and when you're done looking, you have to put the book back where you found it. Those are the rules."
