Library [04/17]

Sam managed to pass all of his kids off to other people to watch during his library shift, except for his Ethics egg baby. But, he didn't think he had to worry much about Benedict making a mess.

[Open! Please do not break the egg baby, but feel free to break Sam. *g* I will be on slowplay during the day.]

Angela came in holding Marcie by the hand.

"We don't have any kid's books, do we?" she asked the air.

"Books about pwincesses," Marcie contributed. "And spies."

"Angela?" Sam asked, peeking out from where he was hiding. "Hey. We have a bunch of fairy tale books. Those have princesses in them. I don't know about spies though."

"Hi, Sam. The princesses are fine," Angela shrugged, letting Marcie go to join Emily as she went to leaf through the fairy tales. "So how many theoretical future children did you get?"

"Four," Sam said, sounding as exhausted as that number could make a guy. "Do you just have the one girl?"

"Marty and I got Marcie -- that's the girl -- and her big brother Graham," Angela said, shaking her head. "I thought two was way more than enough. Four must be insane. Are they all with one person?"

Sam laughed in an absolutely mirthless way. "No. One is from Dawn, one is from Buffy, one is from Jo, and one is from Jo's Mom."

"Jo's mom?" Angela echoed, mouth open. "But she's a mom."

She realized that didn't sound good, and quickly added, "Maybe that one is some weird time travel thing."

"Apparently, I was in my twenties, and Ellen was...I don't know, temporarily insane?"

"She's not ugly or anything," Angela said. "Just .. older. But that would be a weird kid to meet." She frowned. "I wonder if my kids mean Marty and I end up together in every universe, because I wasn't sure about us in this one."

"Seriously? I thought you two have been together for ages," Sam said. "If that's not a sign you're going to end up together, I think you might not be looking hard enough."

"I don't need to have it all sorted out when I'm 18," Angela said, defensively. "Plus in three weeks I go back to my time, and then ... you know. We'll see what happens."
