The sub today is passing the time by glaring at the students as they file in. It seems that her holiday routine of baking and present wrapping was interrupted by the cancellation of the other sub that was supposed to administer the final. Thus, she's not up for talking and she's not up for fun and games.

"Today's final will be easy for those of you who attended class, studied and retained information that was taught during this class."

She passed out a short final with one essay question: Take one daily, mundane thing that has occurred in your life and tell me how you either applied science to it or how you could've applied science to it.

"Once you are done, you can leave. Have a pleasant holiday."

This morning found yummy baked goods at the front of the desk, next to a stack of wiggling blue books that were currently held down with a couple large bricks.

Wilson was leaning against the front of the desk, holding a folder which contained the exam.

“Good morning, class.” He said with a smile as soon as everyone was seated.

“All right, you have the full class period for this exam, its closed book and notes…you all know the routine by now I’m certain. I’ll be handing out your exam and a blue book. There are plenty more up here at the desk but…err…given recent events, please don’t grab extras until you are ready to hold them down and use them.”

Smiling once more at the group, Wilson’s dark eyes twinkled.

“I’m really going to miss you guys, it’s been a wonderful semester and I hope you all have a fantastic holiday.”

Pushing away from the desk, he began to hand out the blue books and the final exam.

"Oh! Last thing, Phoebe and Blair, would you both see me after class please?"

"Buenos tardes," El said as his students came in. "It is time, then, to present your final projects. The thing which you have been working for several weeks, I hope. After that, I'm afraid it is the end of the semester. I hope you've all enjoyed this class. It certainly has been a great experience teaching you. I'll help you set up your musical accompaniments if need be."

Rory and Sheila made their way into the library. Sheila, for her part, was precariously balanced in a cozy box atop a pile of books.

Ms Frizzle's outfit today was full of Christmas cheer, from her twinkling light-bulb earrings to her wreath-ornamented pumps. "Good afternoon, students." No exclamation points, and Liz appeared to be on tissue duty. "This is your final exam. It's been absolutely wonderful teaching you this semester, you've all made me so proud! I hope to see you all in the future." She sniffled, and Liz handed her a Kleenex. "Alright, then, let's get started. Everyone to the desks!"

The students will find at each lab bench what appears to be a completely ordinary, run-of-the-mill test. What what would expect from a class that had textbooks, lectures, or even something approaching notes. The questions are mostly multiple choice or fill-in-the-blank about anatomy, astronomy, basic chemisty, motion and friction, geology, electricity, etc. The final three being asked to draw and label diagrams of the food chain, the water cycle, and the layers of the earth.

[[Wait for OCD. Play on, MacDuff! *is run through for bad Shakespeare pun*]]
