"We hope you enjoyed your long weekend," Anakin began, "but we don't care enough about them to ask for details."

Thanks, Anakin. "As you may have noticed, we are in December, which means the island will be quirkier than usual, with a chance of invasion by finals week. Today we will talk about the ethics of violence."

"Ideally, a sapient being would never find it necessary to engage in violence," Ahsoka stated. "Unfortunately we live in a far from ideal world."

Anakin nodded. "We were both trained to use violence as a last resort." That lesson had stuck better for one of them. Cough. "It certainly shouldn't be a first resort."

Unless they were really annoying.

There was a reason Ahsoka had lost a good five limbs less than Anakin. "So in what situations does it become ethical to use or refrain from violence. Defence of others? Of yourself?"

"Or do you believe that it's never acceptable to use violence?" If Anakin already looked a little resigned to arguing against that position, well, he'd been teaching ethics for decades.

"All right, guys!" Raiden exclaimed happily, "today we're doing something a little bit different." And Raiden had a Gray-shaped tagalong for some reason. "We're headed to Frankfurt, Germany, and we're not going to be exploring the city and area's food as a whole. Instead, we're going to be exploring the Christmas markets and all the delicious snacks and drinks in it!" Christmas. Christmas would be the reason for the tagalong. "These markets are common in European cities during December, and they sell things like seasonal decorations and toys, along with all sorts of things to eat and drink! You'll definitely want to get some glühwein, or maybe kinderpunsch if you're not feeling the alcohol, and pick up a bratwurst and some stollen, but beyond that there's a whole range of yummy treats, plus maybe you can get some Christmas shopping in while we're there! So let's get going and get in the festive spirit!"

Trebor was back today, toddling from student-to-student as they arrived with a big smile and showing off his newest toy -- a light globe he could toss in the air, and it would hover there for him (or someone else) to try and catch.

Yes, it was a repurposed combat training drone. Ghanima saw no reason not to start her son early.

"Since it's been a chilly week, I thought we might go somewhere a bit more tropical for the day," Ghanima said, deftly catching the darting light out of the air once class began and making it vanish into the sleeves of her gown. "Hawaiian mythology refers to the legends, historical tales and sayings of the ancient Hawaiian people. It is considered a variant of a more general Polynesian mythology, developing its own unique character for several centuries before about 1800. It is associated with the Hawaiian religion, the system of beliefs that represent the beauty and mystery of Hawaiian sacred traditions. The religion was officially suppressed in the 19th century, but kept alive by some practitioners to the modern day."
