Today class was meeting at Portalocity again, and had been advised to dress comfortably for cool weather, have on good shoes, and not bring cats from home. Jon greeted them with a nod, cleared his throat, and stood tall. "I would like to apologise for missing class last week. It was highly unprofessional of me. I hope it gave you the opportunity to play with your own cats or someone else's."

He nodded again and relaxed just a little. "Today we'll be visiting a cat sanctuary in South Africa called Panthera. We'll be taking an enrichment visit, so we'll get to make toys and such for the cats and watch them play, as well as learn the cats' stories. We'll be walking quite a bit, and it's currently winter."

Their portal opened and he turned to go in. "Oh, and please be careful and respectful of the cats and their carers."

He went in and waited for them to follow.

"I'm sure you'll all be very shocked to hear this," said Prompto, unable to help himself from grinning as he got class started that day, "but we're going to begin by looking at your green photos from next week. And...it's probably a good thing you're already sitting down for this, but then, we're going to be talking about our next color focus, which is going to be blue. I know, right?" He chuckled a little bit. "Just full of surprises around here."

Honestly, the set-up for this class didn't really leave a lot of room for creature structure, but, hey, if it wasn't broke? Don't fix it! And that meant all the creativity could go into the photos themselves!

"So, then, let's get into it! Who's ready to step up first and try to make their classmates green with envy with their green shots?"

The danger shop was set up with the classroom sim that day, although there was a little more space up front, almost like as stage for something.

"Last week," Yukari greeted everyone cheerfully, "we worked together to fight a monster in a turned-based fashion. This week, we're fighting each other, in a fighting game fashion! That's right! It's time for our lesson fighting games! You know the type, the games where you fight against another character on your way to victory, sometimes even with some sort of tragic backstory about revenge or trying to get some powerful sword or whatever or saving the world from an evil guy with a lot of fashion sense. So, today, we're going to focus on what kind of fighter you are, what your dramatic backstory is, what kind of combo moves you might be capable of, all that sort of thing, and then we'll have ourselves some rounds of epic battle!

"Pretty simple, right? If there aren't any questions, I'll give you some time to figure it out, and, then? Let's fight!"

"Since the pits were such a hit last week," Steve began with perhaps an unclear recollection of last week, "we're keeping them and adding additional obstacles this week."

"Land mines," Tony said cheerfully. "Well, paint ones. Expect to get pretty messy if one goes off, though."

Was this cruel and unusual? No, because there weren't any bugs.

Or any niche Chicago booze flavored like bugs and regret. So it could be a lot worse, right, Anakin?

"So just like in a real battle, you have to look out for more than just enemy combatants," Steve said, nodding. "Be on your toes. Not literally."

"Maybe a little literally depending on the area," Tony chimed in.

"It'll be swell," Steve assured them. "Have fun. No power usage."
