Having enlisted the assistance of a few hopefully trustworthy squirrels, Sidon had sent out messages tucked away in pretty little blue shells to be delivered to those who had signed up for his class prior to the meeting time, neat little notes that he was very proud of because he had not, in all his time away, lost his grasp on writing English:

Salutations! And thank you for signing up for Underwater Basket Weaving and Other Aquatic Arts! I am looking forward to teaching you! Please note that this class will be meeting down by the BEACH, unless otherwise stated! And please dress accordingly to having some fun in the sun and surf! Can't wait to see you there! We will all have a most wonderful time! Sincerely, your TEACHER, Sidon, the Zora Prince!

And then, as such, they would all know to be directed to the beach for this lesson, or, if anything, would just naturally assume as much and manage to get the right beach, since these things were very rarely actually specified. It shouldn't be difficult to figure out which one, though, based on the rather large and looming red shark creature waiting with shining yellow eyes and a bright and eager grin filled with teeth and sparkle.

And once it looked like most of them were there, he got started.

"Hello!" he boomed, opening up his arms joyously for his first class, and wasn't this exciting? "And welcome! To Underwater Basket Weaving and other Aquatic Arts!" His fist pumped eagerly acorss his chest. "If you've signed up for this class, wonderful! I'm looking forward to teaching you the thrilling ways of the waves! And if you have not signed up for this class and just happened to wander onto the beach wondering what all this hubbub was about, well, then, welcome to you as well! The more, the merrier, I say! Now, this will be a class that focuses on activities done in the water, and so if there are any issues in that regard I should know about, please do not hesitate to ask! But rest assured, you are embarking on this journey with the best swimmer in all of Hyrule, so have confidence in the fact that you are in very safe claws!"

He gave a flash of said claws for emphasis with a joyful laugh, and then snapped into a ready pose, knees bent, fists curled, as if to display just how ready he was to take on the task of instruction!

"Before we get started with today's lesson," he said, "which will, of course, be the titular Underwater Basket Weaving, let us first introduce ourselves, although I believe I have had the pleasure of meeting you all at some point in time! It has been a while, though, and just in case you don't know each other, a refresher is always nice! I shall begin!

"As I'm sure you know, I am Sidon!" Another mighty pump of his fist, his grin big and bright (and if you listened closely over the waves, you could hear a faint tinkle from the light gleaming off his fangs!). "The Zora Prince! I come from a land called Hyrule, which is very far away, and I used to be a student here myself, not too long ago in this world, but in my world it has been more than thirty years! Can you imagine? Time can be a bit funny like that, can't it? But, either way, I am positively elated to be back to share with you all everything I know about how to make the most of your oceanic, sea-faring, and lake loving experiences! I am a champion waterfall diver back home, one of the strongest swimmers my world has ever seem, and I quite enjoy spending time in the water, although that does come with the territory of being a Zora, as we are an amphibious race that feels most at home when wet! And hopefully you all will, too!

"Now then!" He beamed excitedly down at them all. "Who would like to go next? I would very much like to know all about who you are: what your name is, where you're from, what your experiences with water and water-based activities might be, and also how you feel your strength as a swimmer may be. That will be very useful knowledge for future classes, although don't concern yourself if you find yourself to not be a very strong one, as I will help you out and more than make up for it ! Let's go, then! You there!" He gestured eagerly toward the traditional random person. "How about you start us off? And then we will get to the baskets once everyone's gotten to know each other more and we've begun our aquatic journey into friendship and fun!"

"Good afternoon." Hannibal met the class outside Portalocity, as was handwavily specified in the description, and smiled and nodded to everyone there. "Today is, I realize, for introductions, although we won't be doing them quite yet. There is no excuse not to have conversation over a lovely meal, after all. Please follow me." He led them to and waved them through the waiting portal.

"We're starting with American food; for those of you not from this world, The United States of America is the country that Fandom is nominally a part of. It has adopted and adapted many cuisines and cultures, but there are a few that are distinctly American."

They came out on an unassuming street in front of a restaurant with a small parking lot that was completely full. "Luckily we have reservations," he assured the class.

"Soul food originated in the culture of African slaves in the area, influenced by their Native American neighbors and European enslavers. These days it has expanded to be a large part of American cuisine, particularly in the southern states."

He made a slight grimace that most people might not notice. "I dearly hope that none of you have an aversion to fried foods. If you do not eat meat, please ask before ordering, as even most of the vegetables are cooked with it. While I'm speaking of that, if any of you have allergies or food aversions to anything, please let me know. Are there any questions?"

He led them into the restaurant.

With god as his witness, Nick thought he was teaching Creative Writing 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Which was why he was a couple minutes late for class, and shoved in through the door by a pair of moose antlers while he yelled, "I am not an angry enough person for this!"

How the moose slammed the door after him was going to remain a mystery.

"Right. So. What's up, I thought I was teaching something not Anger Management. So this is fun for me right this second," he said. "So why not start with introductions. Tell me your name and what's pissing you off right now. I'll start. I'm Nick, and moose antlers hurt. I have no other class planned."

Hello, class! Neither of your teachers had actually applied to teach this class, but Edward, at least, didn't seem particularly fussed about it. Beyond the bit where they were in a classroom, when this class was clearly a better fit for running about outside causing trouble.

"Morning, lads," he called, his voice filling the room. "And welcome to 'Pirating'. Some sad old scholar will likely tell you that that ain't a word. Ignore them. Rule number one of piracy is: we do as we want and become who we like! Regardless of classroom conventions and dictionaries and all that rot!"

He stomped his foot once, smirking, and called, "My name is Edward Kenway, captain of the Jackdaw. Though if you ask the English, I've many a different name, and few of them flattering."

Well. Duke could at least agree with that rule. Though he was a bit distracted side-eying the class roster.

Specifically the two cops on said roster.

“And I’m just Duke,” he said, lifting his hand in a little wave. At least with Edward here he didn’t feel the need to do his own pirate-y accent.

Eh, if the two cops decided to make trouble, Edward would know how to deal with them. (And his accent wasn't piratey, bloody hell. He was Welsh, thank you very much.)

"Myself and my new compatriot here will be teaching you all about the ways of the pirate this semester, as ordained by the school moose," said Edward, all grins. "From climbing the rigging all the way to cuttin' off noses where necessary. Now, I'm afraid I haven't been on this island in some time, and so do not recognize your faces. Would you care for an introduction of your own?"

“That had better be hyperbole.” Duke rubbed the bridge of his nose and wondered what the hell the moose had gotten him into now.

“Introductions,” he agreed. “A first week tradition. Tell us, uh. Your name and what kind of pirate-y thing you want to learn.”

"Pirate-y," Edward concluded, "Is hereby declared a word, as well."

Oh, this would be fun.

Congratulations everyone foolish enough to think it was a good idea to sign up for this class, Aphra (and her big box of fake saber parts and smaller box of fake colour crystals) was here!

"So, Jedi, we'll be getting into them in more detail later, but to recap, space wizards with fantastic powers, laser swords, and often bad haircuts." You couldn't prove she was pointing or looking at Anakin when she said that. No one could.

"Since it's the first session we'll be doing introductions, but first you're going to take your first step into Jedihood by building your own laser sword! Then introduce yourself and tell everyone why your laser sword is right for you and why you think you got the colour you did."

She wasn't asking why they were taking the class because some of them had no excuse.
