Class had been instructed to meet again today in the Danger Shop. Once they were in there, Bob pushed buttons (he would never get tired of being able to do that) and brought up a program he'd done before. All that was visible from where they were was a green wall of shrubbery with a gap in it.

"Hedge mazes used to be very popular," Bob said, "but they were never quite like this one. This one goes in all directions - you're as likely to find a path above or below you as to one side." He nodded toward a box that held things that looked like little more than water wings. "These will let you hover; from there you can move as if swimming and work your way through the maze. If you make it to the other side, there is pizza."

He grinned at them. "Put on your wings, test them out, and let's see if you get there."

Today, there were snacks. Quite a lot of snacks. "Eventually, despite having lost all sense of time or the outer world as you click 'next episode,' you're going to get hungry," Vanessa said. "And you don't want to like, die, but you also don't want to have to stop your show and get up and actually go make food. What do you do?"

"Ordering food is a good option, but what if you're watching a baking show and just want Mary Berry's sweet, grandmotherly embrace," Wade added. "What then?"

"You have a couple of choices, and one of them is to set the oven on fire while attempting to replicate a Bakewell tart." Not that that had ever happened to anyone in this room. "Know your skill level, people. Another option is to plan ahead and procure appropriate snacks in advance."

Wade sighed, thinking back in the great Bakewell Tart fiasco of 2017.

"So, let's pick some shows and match them to food. Like a fine wine." Which no one in the room understood. Least of all the teachers.

"Pick a snack, find a show that goes with it. Or vice versa," Vanessa instructed them. "We're not picky here." Obviously.

Today the students were just outside the Flight Shed, looking at an array of moddable jetpacks from throughout the multiverse. "One the the very first dreams of beings who can't fly is to try," Anakin said. "The jetpack--to fly without wings or a huge piece of equipment surrounding us--is a lot tougher a piece of tech than it seems on the surface."

Anakin then gave them a fairly detailed explanation of how the combination of a jetpack and the limits of how a human body was designed had left this particular bit of aircraft in the realm of fiction for a large portion of the universe.

"Fortunately for us," he concluded, "it's not hypothetical in all universes. I have a variety out here. Give a few a try and tell me which you like best."

In the Danger Shop, it was a gorgeous night in a park with a giant screen set up in front of a bunch of blankets and bean bag chairs.

"One of the great parts about summer is the outdoor summer movie," Kitty greeted them. "And I've got a classic for you. So pull up a seat, grab some popcorn, and settle in."
