intraspective: (listen listen)

Today, it was just Ino up front, in her blue suit, her braids crossed the same way her arms were.

"Reno's hungover and decided to ditch me with you minions," Ino said, and for all that her arms were crossed, she sounded pretty upbeat about it. "Since I've been left to my own devices, and I know of at least a couple of bosses who all agree I should never be left to my own devices, I'm changing today's class to: we're gonna prank Reno."

If even one of her minions went through with this, it'd be great. Like, a lot.

"Ground rules for the pranking: nothing that hurts him, but more importantly nothing that hurts his ferret. You hurt the ferret, I beat you up, and that's if he don't get to you first. Reno's game for taking a lot of shit so long as you ain't a dumbass 'bout it."

Hell, Reno was usually the one dealing shit.

"Pranks are great 'cause they get to utilize both the infiltration part of the class and the sabotage part of it. If you can rig something to explode without hurtin' the ferret, go for it. If Reno gets a bit singed… he'll survive. You've got from now 'till next class to mess him up. You need my help with anything, you got it."

Ino beamed at them all. "Now get to work brainstormin' what you're goin' to do to Reno!"

If your teachers looked excited to play a kids game today, it was because they were. They totally were.

The danger shop was set up to look like an oversized play room for toddlers with bright, colorful cubes and pyramids. It was possibly something Tony had mocked up to tease Barton and the Hulk, but whatever.

"Today we're playing a classic: tag," Tony said with a grin.

"In case you've never played it before," Steve said, "it's pretty simple. One person is 'it'--and they chase everyone else around until they touch another person, at which point they become 'it.'"

"A slight variation on it is freeze tag where, once you're 'tagged', you have to freeze in place until another player 'tags' you free," Tony added.

"That's the game we're playing today," Steve said, grinning eagerly. "It's going to be so much fun."

There was a slight pause before Tony added, "Oddly enough, we don't have a relevant PSA for this game," while giving Steve a sad, sad look.

Steve beamed. "Oh, thank goodness."

"I'll be sure to find one for next week," Tony assured the class.
