"Morning, workers!" Amaya greeted the students when they made it to the site, setting aside something that looked almost like a potato lamp and brushing off her hands. "Today, we're going to be working on the electrical aspects and wiring of the building, so we'll be working mostly upstairs in the apartment. Now, where I"m from, we don't even have electricity, so I'm not too proud to admit that I think this particular topic is best explained by someone a bit more familiar, which is why were's going to start out with a video, "she patted her hand on the tube screen on a tall roller cart quintessential to any school experience, "and then we'll head upstairs and get to work."

Short and sweet today, right to business! She'd even brought in a bench so they could sit while they watched, and there was an airpot of coffee in addition to the usual giant orange water cooler. She suspected it might be needed to help get them through the dryness of the video; she realized not everyone could listen to people talk about wires and hookups in excruciating detail all day like she could.

Way more interesting than mushy stories about welders who wanted to be dancers, anyway...

//Morning, class,// Jono greeted, the lesson for today set up in a classroom. //Have you eaten today?//

It was an important question, okay? Yesterday's activity in the park had given him another idea for class today, and while there wasn't necessarily such a thing as a good brooding food, there was such a thing as a good comfort food.

//When people fall into a particular state, they sometimes get so lost in it that they forget to take care of the essentials,// he explained. //Maybe they don't eat, or shower, or tidy up as much as they ought to. Hell, it can be difficult to even leave the house when it gets bad enough. And... there's not much I can do about the rest, but today we can at least lean into eating.//

Well, you all could. Jono was going to have to spectate for this one.

//Here, I think, the trick is to find something easy. Make sure that easy thing is always an option, even when you've got other things to... feel. Think about. Whatever.// He shrugged. //There's a certain point where you don't even have to worry about it being healthy, just worry about it being food. Get delivery, keep some energy bars in the cupboard, just eat a block of ramen noodles dry, if that'll keep you going.//

... He'd resorted to a few of these things back during his, ah, blue period.

//Anyway, we're ordering pizza today. Figure out what toppings you want and let me know, and I'll pay.//

The Danger Shop was in its usual dojo set-up for this class. This week, Mitsutada was joined by a slightly shorter man with long brown hair, red eyes, a scarf and impressive coat.

"Welcome back," Mitsutada said, smiling at his gathered students. "I am glad to see Nikkari did not make any of you afraid to return."

The man next to Mitsutada raised an eyebrow, but then went back to buffing his red-painted fingernails.

"Today, we talk about uchigatana, the first of our full-size swords. Though I will let my guest introduce himself, though I will say that he is special in that he was the first Touken Danshi of my Citadel.."

"Thank you, Shokudaikiri," the man said. "I am Kashuu Kiyomitsu. Forged in 1684 by no smith of note, I was most famously wielded by Souji Okita of the Shinsengumi. It was at the Ikedeya Incident that my tip broke and I was considered impossible to repair, and so I was discarded. I am grateful to have been born anew and able to fight on my own, now. Though it takes a lot of effort to remain cute for our saniwa."

Mitsutada chuckled. "Kashuu is taking for granted that you know Japanese history," he added. "So if you need any of that better explained, now is the time to ask."
