Class would be meeting in the Danger Shop that morning, and it shouldn't take long to notice that Amaya was clearly inspired by the hills that had shown up seemingly over night. She would have actually preferred to do actually do this all outside on the actual hills, but she had a feeling that giving real sharp pointy objects in the context of what she had planned was generally frowned upon, and using Nerf weapons just took away half of the fun.

And at least you didn't have to deal with cold on top of the snow in the Danger Shop. They'd find themselves at the top of a hill, with varying degrees of slopes branching out in different directions: smooth, gentle, steep, bumpy, bunny hill to demon drop. There was a table glistening with nice shiny weapons, and a particularly astute student might notice that the weapons all had one thing in common: range. And there were also a variety of things one might go down a hill in there as well, skis and snowboards, sleds and toboggans, even a snow ski and a reindeer-led sleigh.

"So, I had something different planned for today," she admitted once everyone seemed to have arrived, "but I figured I'd take a cue from the weather and had another idea. Now, creative weaponry can be about makin' creative weapons; that's mostly what we've focused on this semester. But it can also be about using weapons creatively. Which is why I've got a lot of different ways for you to combine this particular landscape with some long-range stuff. This sort of thing takes a little skill; if you've never used a crossbow before, you're probably not going to be very good at using it while going down a mountain on a pair of skis, and that's okay. The important thing is that you try, and, even more important than that, is that you learn from the first try and improve on it in the second. And for some of you who'll find this all easy-peasy," it was a talented bunch; she'd be shocked if at least one of them had actually hadn't done something liek this before, "the real creativity is going to come from find a combination more challenging." And probably absurd.

"Take a pick of weapon, choose a method of transportation, and get moving! I've got targets set up along the way for you to try to shoot at, and when you hit the bottom, you'll be sent right back up. I encourage you to try as many different weapons, courses, and ways to go down as time allows."

She brushed her hands together and placed her fists on her hips, grinning at the group. "Any questions?"

When the students arrived to class today, they would find two things:

A box containing neat little packages of multicolored (and flavored) syrups, enough for everyone.

A note:

Since we don't get this opportunity often, I intend to go skiing. I suggest you do the same. And if you like, create snow-cones with the snow. Enjoy, and practice your gelatin work!

Blame it on a teacher who went to school in France. Today was a skiing day!

There was a note pinned to the the outside of the Danger Shop today.

NOPE

It was in the moose's handwriting, because Aphra certainly wasn't going to brave the weather, even if it'd settled down for now. Sure, she could have sent an email to her students, but if they were dumb enough to have turned up they deserved it.
