Per usual, Cosette had gone off for an early morning walk in the preserve, since she had every intention of getting as many of those in as possible before the weather made it less enjoyable to do so.

She was more than slightly enamored of her duties in the library, and as soon as she arrived for her shift was so caught up in reshelving books -- taking an absurd amount of pride in having figured out the system because she was a giant nerd -- that she didn't notice that there were a couple of leaves still stuck in her hair. At least, not until she had a few botany books to reshelve, and a couple of volumes in that section of the stacks got so curious about the leaves that they actually tried to hop down off the shelves and onto her shoulder for a closer look.

"You stop that," she scolded them mildly as she put them back where they belonged. "You've leaves enough of your own."

She came back a few minutes later, though, and left the stray leaves from her hair on the shelf next to the curious books.

Pinkie had suction cups strapped (somehow) to all four of her hooves, today. The purpose of this was abundantly clear from the moment the students entered the class -- she was, after all, using them to walk on the ceiling.

The purpose of that . . . not so much clear, no.

"Hi everypony!" she called, pulling one hoof off the ceiling with a POP to wave to the students. "Welcome back!"

"Before you go on vacation," Derek added, not looking up at the Spider-Pony. Nope. Not happening. "Don't show up here next week. We won't be here."

"Nopenopenope!" Pinkie agreed. "I'll be heading back to Equestria for a bit to visit with my friends. They couldn't come this weekend because they're all very busy with all the other fun things they do but at least my bestest sister friend could come. Didja guys see her poetry? She's so prolific!"

And that would be Derek's eyebrow twitching. Because he had heard the poetry. Oh, he had. "Pineapple upside down cakes," he ground out. "We're making them today."

Denial was totally gonna make this class work.

"So grab some piney-apples and start baking!" Pinkie cheered, attempting to hop excitedly. What with her hooves being strapped to suction cups stuck to the ceiling, this mostly resulted in her stretching her legs out and snapping back into shape like they were rubber bands. She frowned at her hooves, then started popping along the ceiling with a look of great concentration on her face. "I'll be watching you!"

Yep. Ceiling-Pony will be watching you, kids. You're welcome.

"I heard on the radio that Karla's class already took apart training dummies as part of their stress relief, so we'll go in the other direction," Anakin said. "Today we'll learn about yoga."

From Anakin Skywalker. Enjoy the mental image, folks.

He waved toward the yoga mats. Everyone sit down. The Danger Shop began running a program as soon as everyone was settled.

Ohmmm.

"By everything lucky, you guys, I just found something that makes writing stories so much easier!" There was an unholy glee in Navaan's eyes that wasn't even chemically induced! "There's this brilliant...thing! You just put words in and it populates whole stories for you!"

Navaan had discovered the glory of Mad-Libs, y'all. And was a little confused about how copyright and intellectual property laws worked. Then again, in her world, they really didn't.

"Remember all those fancy words we talked about last week? Well, it's time to put them to real work. Brush 'em off, put them in, and BOOM! You have your very own story!"

She dropped a bunch of Mad-Libs books on Anders' desk if he were here to pass out to the class. "You can work together if you want, but then you have to fight over who gets to use that scene in their book. No fistfights in the classroom--you take that to the nearest mud pit or jello ring or oil bath like a civilized person!"
