Paige couldn't really bring herself to make the students listen to a lengthy lecture or to make the participate in a class activity after the island had performed its best imitation of an apocalypse. She didn't think anyone was really into it and, after waking up to a pouring rain, found that she wasn't into it either.

Typically, they would have had a movie day but the movie she'd brought had gotten soaked and didn't even work anymore even after drying it. It just stayed wet.

"So, it's raining and people are still probably getting back to themselves," she started. "I brought a movie in but it got rained on and it won't dry. Instead, you guys can just hang out and eat some breakfast which I did bring and stayed dry -- "

There were donuts at the front of the room.

" -- and you can chat with each other or read or you can leave. It's a free class. We'll get back to things next week when everyone's in a little bit of a better mindset. And when we're all a little more dry."

A distinctly soggy Anakin squelched into the Danger Shop in time to meet his class. "I don't actually expect you to be ready to do real work yet," he said, waving his hands toward the variety of exercise equipment he'd placed around the room--most in the "things to hit" range--"and I'm certainly not going to make you talk about anything you're not ready to yet. So hit something or run a lot--I promise it'll make you feel better."

He sighed at the tiny stage that was also in the corner. "Or have a puppet show. One of our visitors left sockpuppets that look like all of the citizens of this island."

The Pinkie Pie one was especially adorable.

"I didn't ask why," Anakin added, "but if you want to be ridiculous as a way to repress, well, here's your chance, and it'll only come around once. Try not to get everything too wet, but that seems to be a pretty lost cause today."

Handling Your Powers, Tuesday

"I figure most of you will have had more than enough of handling your powers right now," Kaidan said. "So, like last week, I've got three options for you guys."

"You can sit down and talk about last week - maybe you did something you didn't think you could, or you had something happen to you, anything you want to talk about within the context of this class... shoot," he said. "Or if you have some issues or something to work out, I set up some mats and some boxing bags you can punch the crap out of."

Hey, it helped some people. Some days it even helped him.

"Or you can leave class," he said. "It's a beautiful day out there, and nothing's broken. Have fun."

Literature- Wednesday- 2nd period

Jess was herself in front of the class today, and looking just a little mortified.

"First off, I am so sorry for the past... month," she said. "And I'm not even really sure where we left off before I went crazy, so why don't you pass up any homework that you had and I'll figure out... everything. Anyway, I'm going to pass out your last book, the meta for To Kill a Mockingbird, and read that for next week, but today we're just going to watch cute things."

So basically y'all were getting a couple episodes of Too Cute! One for puppies, one for kittens. If neither of those made you feel better, you were actually a soulless monster fyi.
