"I figure most of you will have had more than enough of handling your powers right now," Kaidan said. "So, like last week, I've got three options for you guys."

"You can sit down and talk about last week - maybe you did something you didn't think you could, or you had something happen to you, anything you want to talk about within the context of this class... shoot," he said. "Or if you have some issues or something to work out, I set up some mats and some boxing bags you can punch the crap out of."

Hey, it helped some people. Some days it even helped him.

"Or you can leave class," he said. "It's a beautiful day out there, and nothing's broken. Have fun."

Will didn't really want to talk. So, he went to work punching things. He used his enhanced speed to really do a number on the bag.

Eleanor wasn't sure she was in the right mood to punch things. And then she pictured her mother's face, when the Messiah had been presented to the Family. Oh, that helped.

She was going to be lucky if she didn't tear the bag clean off its chain.

Celia wasn't interested in punching things -- she wasn't much the type. But she was still feeling so angry at her own helplessness over the last few weeks. She could have been damned useful, she knew it, and instead little Celia had cried herself to sleep and been terrified of her own power.

So she didn't punch anything, no. But from a short distance, she sent the punching bag rocking back and forth with wave after wave of magic energy, relishing how good it felt to use her powers. She felt like an animal coming out of hibernation.

Evan kind of really needed an excuse to punch things. Even if he wasn't going to use his powers for this one. Just some good old-fashioned hitting stuff, because talking sort of seemed like a bad idea today.

By the end of the class period, he was feeling a little better.
