Oz's class was back in the Danger Shop having received an email to wear some kind of swimsuit under their clothes. They were in a large, tiled room, there were three large (empty) copper tubs, numerous buckets, a pump, and a giant copper kettle over an (unlit) fire.

"So, hot, running water," Oz said. "Probably not the first thing that comes to mind when I say everyday technology, but if you don't use water that's been heated in a boiler, then piped though the dorms to either a shower or bathtub every day, then there's probably a reason you don't get many dates."

"Now, the idea of indoor plumbing and hot baths themselves are exactly new, for example, the Romans placed great social importance on their baths, but for numerous reasons for much of history taking a proper bath within your own home required collecting and heating the right amount of water, then transferring that water to a tub."

"So for today's exercise, if you've guessed that you're going to be drawing yourselves a nice warm bath, you get a gold star. And a bath. And a reminder that water pumps are also a form of technology, just saying."

Clint had sent everyone a message to dress for warm weather, although he was wearing his usual t-shirt and jeans as he waited for the class at the Portalocity office. Sorry ladies, he didn't do shorts.

"I know a bunch of you asked to go to places with beaches, but I figured we'd save something like that for a week when we need some relaxation." Clint had been here long enough now that he knew the nice, peaceful island time they were experiencing wouldn't last forever. "Today, we're going to Kenya, specifically the Maasai Mara Reserve, for some safari time." It was possible Clint was using this class as an excuse to do fun things he hadn't gotten to do when visiting these foreign countries himself, but he didn't think the students would mind. "If you want to go back to your room and grab a camera or something, go ahead. We'll portal over when everyone's ready."

When Billy had gotten to the library, he'd been surprised by how many books in the recently returned pile were about dating.

When he put everything away and did a sweep of the library to make sure everything was safe for his shift, he came back to find all the dating books on the desk again.

Oh library, Billy wasn't sure what you were trying to imply, but he didn't like it.

Welcome to the Danger Shop as programmed by Batman, kids! Today the shop looked like a dark, imposing, but strikingly beautiful cityscape. It was nighttime in the programmed city, and Batman spent a fair amount of time making sure to program the wind to get just the right degree of foreboding. Did I mention that you were in an alley? Because you were.

If you had ever been to Gotham City, this would look very familiar.

The classroom was the same as it had been last week: normal, with the only tweak being the holographic blackboard at the front of the class. It was showing a three-dimensional image of the Sol system right now; Kaidan had stepped to the side to make it more visible.

At the front of the class today, there stood the teacher and a drum-set. Because when you thought about kidnapping princesses, didn't your mind also go to some bad ass drum solos? Well it should have.

"You can't just go into the stealing princesses business without being able to back it up," the Ice King said as though people were really that interested in kidnapping. Maybe they were, though. You don't know. Someone might think he was a cool, happening dude. "You gotta be able to woo her. And what's better than music to make the ladies swoon?"

There was no swooning. There had never been swooning. There never will be swooning.

"Today we're gonna have a hip jam session," he added. "Because playing an instrument says things. Things like 'I'm a cool guy. I don't always smell like moldy gym socks on a hot day. You wanna date me like nobody's business.'"

None of that worked. But on the plus side? Goofing off day!

"So get to work!"
