Evan knew Wade would be disappointed if, for whatever reason, he'd suddenly appeared on the island to find him sitting in the library, reading books about zen and meditation. Wade had also tried to find Evan an outlet for his instinctive rage by handing him a stack of porn magazines once, so maybe his ideas for dealing with homicidal mutant god genes were at least slightly flawed.

Either way, if nothing else, Evan was curious. After the way things had kind of poorly fallen out in Yeul's world, he figured he could probably use every trick he could possibly add to his arsenal.

Besides, all of the novels he was really in the mood for today had been checked out.

Modern American History- Monday- 2nd period

The Danger Shop today looked like a very quiet battleground. There wasn't any fighting going on, and there wouldn't be, but if the students looked closely they'd see people moving around in the trenches.

And happily, their teacher was a girl again who was totally headed back to her boyfriend's house to celebrate that fact... after she got done talking about World War I. Yeah, she could have planned this better.
