Pinkie was antsy, today. She had a party to help throw tonight, for one of her favoritest holidays, and she was anxious to get started.

Which might explain how it had bled into her class, this morning.

"Hi everypony! In Equestria, we have a super fun holiday this time of year called 'Nightmare Night', and it turns out, here on Earth, many cultures also have a similar holiday called 'Hollerweenie'!" She was never going to get that name right. It wasn't even a real word! "So I thought today it'd be super fun to celebrate! We have bobbing for apples and fling the spider on the spider web and lots of candy and masks you can decorate with feathers and sparkles and things! So everyone relax and have fun!"

When members of the Junior Achievers club filed into the Danger Shop today, they'd probably immediately notice two things. First, that it was dark. And second, that they were about to step into a large corn field.

"Happy Halloween!" And you know it was going to be an interesting club meeting when prefaced with that, right? Evan was grinning at everyone, wearing his old school uniform because 'student from the Jean Grey School' was about as creative a costume as he was up for this year. "Today, we're going to do something kind of thematic. It's a maze!"

Made from corn stalks. In the dark. At the end of October. Sure, this would go beautifully.

"Well, okay, it's a maze with a few surprises inside. You guys are okay with zombies, right?" A beat. "Um. What if they're sock puppet zombies that don't actually have teeth, so they just kind of gnaw on you and don't go anywhere, today? I kind of had trouble with the programming, again."

Yes, your mission, should you choose to accept it, was to navigate a corn maze in the dead of night, while being chased by zomnomnombies. Powers were completely encouraged, naturally.

After leaving class, Sholeh headed for her shift at the library. She was unsurprised to see that the books had already gotten into the holiday spirit: the origami books were hard at work making spooky paper decorations, there were multiple books flapping about like bats or floating through the air like ghosts, and the children's books were wandering around the other sections in groups, escorted by books from the maternity section.

Rather than try to get them all back where they belonged, Sholeh decided to indulge them in their festivities and read her book, The All Hallow Eve's Arbor. It was both entertaining and educational!

There weren't teachers in class today, oh no. Instead there was a bowl of candy and a sign.

Take one

Was it a test? A reward? Who could tell? Either way there was candy, and that was the important thing today, right?

Happy Halloween!
