When his class arrived at the Danger Shop, they'd find that Bond had broken out the dressing room again, though this time the clothes looked distinctly less like everyday wear.

"Good afternoon," he greeted them. "I thought we'd revisit the subject of dressing so as not to attract notice again this week. However, as opposed to a museum on an ordinary day, where you'd wish to look as nondescript as possible, today you'll be dressing for an occasion where nothing would be more noticeable then dressing to avoid attention."

Clearly the date and this class were coincidental.

"There will be sweets for any one who succeeds at the task."

Pure coincidence.

When the students walked into Yakko's classroom, they might notice a few changes. For one thing, there were no desks. For another, the room was mostly filled with a Tilt-a-Whirl, with a cotton candy and popcorn booth in one corner and a possibly drunk clown in the other. He might not have been drunk, but he was definitely surly. Fortunately, he wasn't being let out of that corner. His name was not Baby.

As the students might have figured out, Yakko had no real (or even "real") lecture today. What he had was a terrible pun.

"Step up, step up!" Yakko said from the entrance to the ride. "Come one, come all, and take a ride on Yakko's (Tilt-a-)World!" Told you it was terrible. "Enjoy the ride, have some food, and if you really want a lecture, the clown has many life lessons to share, mostly about not being a clown and why your face is stupid. Don't worry, most of your faces aren't stupid. He's just an angry clown."

"You're a jerk!" the clown yelled.

"You're a jerk," Yakko yelled back.

"D'aaaaaaaw," the clown said.

"Have fun!"

Okay, so people in Wild Roving today might or might notice that Sparkle was wearing lipstick to go with his usual raccoon-face. He didn't particularly care. He'd been the most fabulous Katharine Hepburn on the whole damn island. And he'd spent last night egging NPC houses in the rain. Because that was the true meaning of Halloween.

Well, wasn't it?

"So I bet at least a few of you non-modern-Earth people noticed all the costumes yesterday. And the freaky half-rotten bunnies, for that matter." Kinda hard to miss, those. Sparkle only looked slightly traumatized when he mentioned them. "Did you guys even know there was a holiday coming up? Probably sucked a bit if you didn't and wanted to participate, what with all the good costumes and junk being out of stock. Upside is that today's cheap candy day. Buy out all the extra stock while the stores in town are trying to get rid of it cheap. They want room for their Christmas stock, since they're all a bunch'a money-grubbing vultures."

This was an important lesson, guys. Honest.

"Anyhow, what I'm trying to say is, you might've noticed that different places celebrate different things, and maybe while you're there, you won't want to miss that. It would suck to be down in New Orleans for Mardi Gras without being aware that it was freaking Mardi Gras. Or like if you're in Latvia for Christmas and you have no clue what's going on when a bunch of people come to your door singing and dressed in masks and stuff and they want food- Kind of like some kind of weird solstice trick-or-treating, but with mummers instead of little kids dressed like Donkey Kong.

"My point is, when in Rome, at least take the time to find out what all those weirdly specific aisles in Turtle & Canary are supposed to be about. People don't usually develop a fixation on carved pumpkins or fat old men in red suits for no good reason. And you don't even need the internet for this one. Just, like, talk to people. 'Hey, I'm not from around here, why not tell me a bit about holidays and festivals and all of that real fun stuff that I don't understand.' So. Today's activity? There's another major holiday coming up this month here in America. If you're not from around here, talk to people who are and find out what it's all about. If you are from around here, learn about someone else's holiday that might be coming up back home. Like how in a few days the teacher might have been lighting fires to burn some guy named Guy in effigy, or I'd probably be wearing a poppy on my shirt if I could get my hands on one around here if I was like some kind of half-decent Canadian or whatever. You wanna know what that's about? Gotta ask questions, don't you?"

A beat.

"Or look it up online, but that's boring."

So, Evan had come into the library this morning and had done his usual chores, shelving books and quelling uprisings and just generally being heroic, so much as one could possibly be without actually actively saving lives or anything.

In fact, he was in an extra heroic mood today, because he'd caught the first two Space Battles movies (technically the prequels, but they came first chronologically, right?) on a marathon yesterday. The lead character was amazing and Evan found himself kind of idolizing him a little.

A lot.

He didn't want to be spoiled about how he would someday save the day and the whole galaxy and return order to things like in the prophecy, so today was spent looking for the novelizations of the two movies he'd already watched. And humming the theme song. Duuuuuh-duh, duhduhduh DAAAAAH duh...

He couldn't wait to see what happens in movie three!

Well, yesterday had been Halloween, which, against her better judgment, April had spent in Pawnee at her boyfriends' party. Not the best decision she'd ever made, because she was now suffering a shots-induced hangover and wondering when she'd become the kind of person who showed up for her responsibilities while hungover. It was awful.

"Today we're gonna talk about excuses 'cause I don't think we've done that yet," she said, cradling her head in her hands like it was a fragile baby bird. "Actually you're gonna write about excuses because I found a test online and listening to human speech's gonna be a bit much for me today." She nodded to Maeby to hand out the tests if she was there, then waved a hand for people to get started. "And if you could try to write quietly, I'd appreciate it."

"Good Afternoon, class!" Thor greeted as everyone took their places in the usual circle. "I trust you all had an enjoyable Hallowed Evening last night!"

"Today I think we should begin working on our final performance for your fellow students. I hope you have all been thinking about what you might like to do for the individual portion of the show. I have found the script for a performance that I understand is a traditional part of the Midgardian festival that occurs near the end of the year, and that shall be our group piece."

Said script was... definitely not the traditional version. At all. "I would like each of you to take a copy of the script and read it through, and begin to think about which role you might wish to play!"
