The entry corridor was the same today as it had been at the end of the last class, starting with the Material Emancipation Grill that stretched across the doorway like a blue static curtain when the classroom doors slid open to let students in. The locker rooms were the same, too, except that each student's locker had a new addition keeping the jumpsuits and long-fall boots company: what looked like a small hand cannon.

Actually, there was one small change inside the locker rooms: beside the portal-generating frame that led to the classroom was a large lighted sign. )

Today when Sholeh entered the library (still a little awed that she got to work here), there were no books waiting for her on the desk. No magazines, no periodicals, nothing. Perhaps the odd books laying about for her shift and Evan's had been someone's idea of a joke? Or perhaps that had just been their welcome, and now that it was her second shift, the books didn't feel the need to bestir themselves for a second time.

Sholeh's hypotheses lasted all of fifteen minutes, the time it took her to check over the library and ensure all was in order. She had just settled down behind the desk when she heard the first thump. It took her a few minutes to locate the source of the noise, but she saw a book lying on the floor in the middle of the crafts section. While she was shelving that, a book on crocheting fell over a shelf away. And as she was picking that one up, a Tatting for Teens!= took that opportunity to fling itself to the floor.

That set the tone for the day. Every twenty minutes or so, a bunch of books would go tumbling to the ground, causing Sholeh to have to put her book down and pick them up again. Every single book that pitched itself forward was from the handicrafts section and they were all books that were geared towards a younger audience, usually with the words 'Hip,' 'Fun,' and 'Cool' on the cover.

"All right," Sholeh said to the library, "I get it! Knitting isn't just for old ladies in rockers anymore!"

The classroom was still set up with all the desks arranged in a circle, this time with the name plates labeled, and the flags the students made last week set up in the little flag holders.

It was just like the real UN!

"Welcome back, everypony!" Pinkie cheered when it was time for class to start. "I hope you all had a great week! Today we're going to get down to the business of real UN-ing! But first, I thought it'd be good to learn a little bit more about all our nations! So everypony, I'd like you to tell us what one of your nation's special holidays is! In Equestria, for instance, we have Hearts and Hooves Day, a day for everypony to let their very special someponies know how much we care for and appreciate them! Now you!" she pointed to a random student.

Once that was over with, Pinkie adopted her Serious Diplomat face. "And now, on to business. It has come to my attention that someone from the nation of Texas --" look, she wasn't great at Earth geography, okay? "-- has been worried that the UN of his world is going to try to take over his country! His world's UN has already denied this, but it raises an important question: should we invade Texas?" She brightened again. "I know lots of you are like me and maybe don't know anything at all about the nation of Texas, so I found a nice little fact sheet about it on the Interwebs for you all to use as we discuss! Oh! And if you haven't picked a nation yet, make sure you do that today!"

Once again, class was meeting in the drama room. And once again, they were going to be expected to sit in a circle on the floor. Aside from the area where the students were seated, the rest of the classroom contained a variety of moddable objects scattered about the floor- ranging in size from shoes to chairs.

"So now that we've spent the time getting to know each other a little bit, we can truly get started!" Thor said enthusiastically. "According to the research I have done," yes, Thor was capable of research.

... If by research one meant 'use the Wikipedia after Loki showed him how'. ANYWAY.

"Trust is an important part of any ensemble. Even if the group of people you are working with have vastly different beliefs and personalities, if you trust that your teammates will be able to work with you towards a common goal, you can accomplish anything." It was possible he was talking from personal experience there, yes. "To that end we are going to start with a game that is designed to build trust. For this activity you will need to find a partner." No, they weren't doing trust falls. That was just silly. Once the students had paired up with a group of three if needed depending on how many ping in to play out the activity, he continued: "One of you will close your eyes, and the other shall act as a guide, telling you where to walk. You must be very careful not to bump in to other pairs... or to step on any of the objects on the floor. After a few minutes, I will ask you to switch, and the leader shall become the led."

Once they'd all had sufficient time to complete the activity, Thor bid them to return to the circle. "So: what was that like, to give control over to someone else? Did anyone find that their steps became more confident as you were reassured that the person leading you around would do a proper job?"

In the final minutes before dismissal, Thor addressed the class once more. "In our first meeting, I mentioned my desire to put together a show that you all will perform in. I understand that the end of the semester coincides with a popular Midgardian holiday that often includes dramatic performances as part of the celebration. Perhaps this is something you would like to do, or perhaps not! The content of the show shall largely be decided by you as a class- the goal is to showcase some of the things you will have learned during your time with me, and how you do that is up to you. I am asking you to take some time during the next week to come up with some ideas, and then we can share them next week!"
