doubleohblonde: (Bond will do the walk of sexy)

Bond had let his class know to come down to the beach for today's class and to wear something they didn't mind getting wet. When they arrived down at the beach, they would have found several
kayaks dragged up above the tide line, and Bond leaning on an oar.

"One of the most important skills needed for survival is teamwork," Bond began. "If you can't trust the people you might be stranded with to watch your back, if only for a while, then you're already dead. Which is why we'll be practising your teamwork skills having a little race today. I want you to find a partner, get your kayak into the water and navigate the course." He pointed out to a series of bouys bobbing out on the water. "The winners will be determined by a combination of speed at finishing the course and lack of mishaps in the process."

"And do remember to put on your vests first."

"Yo, Rookies!"

Hey, look! You've all just graduated from last week's 'loser' status!

"You decided to come back, huh? I'm actually kinda impressed. I thought at least a couple of you were gonna spook, with the way you blanched at bein' made to give me the finger or whatever, yo." Wimps. "Today, I'm hopin' you don't have so much of a problem with. Today, we're gonna talk about how the clothes make the man. Or the woman. Or the gender ambiguous whatever, this is Fandom, after all."

Well. It was true.

"I want you guys to look at your clothes. Now, back at me. Now, back at your clothes. Now-- Aw, shit. You get the idea, yo. Sadly, I don't think most of you figure wearin' a suit around all day is really a sensible fashion choice. Hell, given how hot it is around here, I can even see where you're comin' from, yo." And Reno was a redhead. It was a wonder that he didn't pass out, wearing these black suits of his around the island. "But that don't mean that you can't stand to improve on what you got, at least a little. T-shirts and jeans are fine for just bummin' around in. Hell, if your goal in life is to just be comfortable and do that bummin', that works out great, don't it? But if you're lookin' to impress, you gotta put a bit more effort into it than that, yo."

Sorry, George.

"So, today, we're gonna get you guys to sit down and talk about the kinda person you want people to see you as. Do you wanna go for the well-tailored look, so people look up to you an' respect you? Do you wanna go for unapproachable? How about too-damn-cool to care? There are looks for all of that, Rookies, and you'll find that dressin' like what you wanna be is a helpful step in helpin' you act it, down the road."

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman!" Jane greeted her students with the usual brightness, tinged with a little bit of pride. They hopefully had found their way easily to the Danger Shop, where they would discover themselves in the heart of the jungle. They were in a clearing, set up like a sort of rainforest classroom; the walls were the thick, lush border of trees, the floor a bright carpet of grass, the ceiling a perfect blue sky with a smattering of fluffy white clouds. There were three roll-away blackboards behind Jane (double-sided, of course, and she'd need every centimetre of them!), a classic school room desk for each of the students in a row in front of the blackboards. Jane clearly couldn't wait to get started.

Welcome to Africa! Where there are many gruesome ways to die! )

"With that said," Jane turned around brightly to the students as if she hadn't just spent the first part of class talking about all the lovely forms of death awaiting them outside this clearing, "let's give it a try, shall we? I've set things up for us to take a small trek into the jungle, where you are very likely to meet one of the dangers I've just been telling you about. Will you be able to survive? The benefit of not going straight into an actual jungle is that this is very good practise, because if you mess up, it's all just a simulation and you'll be just fine. But next time, you may not be as lucky. So be bright, be quick, and, most of all, be smart about it. Let me know if you have any questions before you head out, and then let's take to the jungle!"

Anakin was rather enjoying the movements of the island, even if this one took them to a place as hot and full of sand as Tatooine. Ugh, sand. It certainly made coming up with his class assignments more interesting.

"Welcome to Alexandria, Egypt," he said. Rory was going to love hearing where they were now. "Today's tasks will take you through this ancient city," he paused, "in its heyday."

Working in Fandom was weird. He stepped back from the clue box. "You will complete two tasks, then meet Tahiri and I somewhere in the city. Try not to die."

Rinoa was in a wonderful mood today. She and Squall were back together! The island had moved again! Her classes yesterday had been divination and research! And now, she got to spend the day in the library, so what wasn't to love?

She still had the list from yesterday's Hero Management class, and was going to amuse herself by looking up the rest of the topics. Just for curiosity's sake.

Today when the students entered the danger shop they would find that the room had been transformed into a shooting range. Like the first class there was a horde of zombies standing frozen on one side of the room, except this time this zombies looked... well for lack of a better term they looked like rednecks. It might be all the PBR cans littered about the place that gave that impression. )

[OCD is up! Warning: This class contains zombies and probably violence against zombies. If you are squeamish this post might not be for you.

For the students: Please use the Request thread if you wish zombie interaction. Otherwise feel free to mod your own.]
