Kappa Kappa Gremlin Meeting, After Classes, Monday [ 04/11 ].
Monday, April 11th, 2011 07:13 amAs usual, there were a great many snacks and sodas set out for the brothers of the Fraternity to enjoy. Naturally, there was pizza, but there was something very...particular about them all. It seemed they were all “a spicy meet-a-ball” pizzas; they were on special or something. They weren’t at all what Alexander had ordered, but you wouldn’t hear him complaining. They were still quite delicious.
“Welcome back, gentlemen,” Alexander greeted them with the usual nod. “It’s good to see everyone seems to have emerged from the rather bizarre events of the weekend relatively unscathed. Things seem back to normal now...normal being relative, of course...so we figured we’d get back to business! I hope everyone had a chance to get some pictures these last few weeks, because today we’ll go through them and see what we might have for our calendar.”
“Anything you took a picture of is fair game for the calendar,” Warren chimed in, smiling a little as he held up his own camera and clicked through a few assorted photos of Goombas and aerial views of the island. “Just so long as it’s clean, and you’re happy with the shot you took, that’s good enough for us. Go through them, pick out a few of your favorites, and once we pick out twelve between us, we’ll get to work getting copies printed up to be sold as a fundraiser for the Frat.”
Why Warren didn’t just donate his spare pocket change to the cause was anybody’s best guess. Maybe he figured that a good calendar sale would be character building?
And, really, Alexander with his family’s heirloom never ending chest of gold would have to agree that, yes. Character building. Ahem.
“So, help yourself to some pizza and let’s see what you’ve come up with.”

Library, Monday
Monday, April 11th, 2011 09:18 amWilliam had rather handwavily used up all his chances to get out of the dorms on Friday afternoon, after he'd spent a few minutes experimentally poking at a turtle shell. And then gone back to do it again. And again. But that didn't matter, as it did all seem to be taken care of.
Only, apparently the library was a bit put out at being left out of the action this time, as every so often William would hear a THUD from some corner, and, when he went over to investigate, would find a book on turtles or fungi being piled on by a selection of books about plumbing. How very odd.

Fighting With Powers [Monday, Fourth Period]
Monday, April 11th, 2011 12:59 pm"I had a review planned for today, but I think we've actually got a better topic for discussion: this weekend."
Max slipped his sunglasses off and dropped them on his desk. "Did anything you learned in this class come into play? And if so, elaborate. Was it something you hadn't expected to be useful? You're smart. You know the kind of stuff I'm looking for."
"You're also free to ask questions since next week you're having your exam."

The Science of Sexuality, Monday
Monday, April 11th, 2011 07:12 pm"I hope you've all recovered from the weekend," John said, quickly, and smiled at the class. His smile looked a little... twitchy if you paid attention, though. He was starting to get more than fed up with all the strangeness. "Anyway, this is our last class before your final, and we felt it was a good idea to acquaint you with the people behing the science."
Or rather, John had. Sherlock had sort of sneered.
"In our very first class, we described the Kinsey scale," he continued on, bravely, ignoring Sherlock's texting. "The scale was designed by a pioneer in the field, Alfred Kinsey. A film was made of his life and work. We're going to be watching that today, as an inspiration for what will be half of your grade for this course."
Also John's idea. Sherlock thought it was all bullshit.
"I want you to find someone or something - an event or a researcher or a priest or... whatever, really, that caused people to expand their views, or look deeper into, what intimacy and intercourse really are. What they say about our species, that sort of thing. Write an essay on them, and what they did, and why you feel they're important, and turn it in next week."
He smiled.
Then, after a beat: "And explain what you might have learned about the topic these past few weeks that might help you make decisions about your own bodies." That was Sherlock's contribution.
Then he turned on the TV.

Advanced Driver's Ed, Monday Period Two
Monday, April 11th, 2011 09:14 pmToday the Danger Shop was set up as a racetrack with a number of brightly coloured karts set up at the starting line.
"Given the weekend, I felt it would be best to have a class that would help reduce stress in anticipation of next week's final," Bond informed the class. "Hence, go-kart racing."
Of course most go-karts didn't come equipped with the bazookas and grenades which five minutes of exploring the karts would turn up, but some people de-stressed in different ways than others.
