William had rather handwavily used up all his chances to get out of the dorms on Friday afternoon, after he'd spent a few minutes experimentally poking at a turtle shell. And then gone back to do it again. And again. But that didn't matter, as it did all seem to be taken care of.

Only, apparently the library was a bit put out at being left out of the action this time, as every so often William would hear a THUD from some corner, and, when he went over to investigate, would find a book on turtles or fungi being piled on by a selection of books about plumbing. How very odd.
