Sam got to the library a little early today, even after stopping at the Perk for coffee and breakfast. He got set up for the day quickly, the routine having become second nature after so long, and then settled in at the computer to check his e-mail and spend some time playing the Sims.

Yes, it still entertained him years later. Sometimes, he was easy to please.

Class was, once again, in the Danger Shop. There was absolutely no way to do today's class in the real world without fear of getting his ass sued. Loki might have been immortal but he wasn't fucking rich. Unfortunately.

"You're in luck," Drake greeted the class, "today I'm not going to make you sing or dance or chat each other up for dates. Today you just have to observe." He snapped his fingers, conjuring up an old fashioned film projector. "I'm going to show you a little movie called 'Love, Actually,' a romantic comedy that covers about a month and a half of time and all sorts of different aspects of love and romance. Watch, learn, continue to be cynical...but at least enjoy Hugh Grant dancing like a dork."

When the students arrived to class today, they would find themselves inside a sports bar filled with televisions and loud patrons.

"There are few things that bring people from different cultures together better than international sports," Ziva said, dressed a little differently than normal. If her father was dead, he'd be rolling in his grave. "In case you have not been watching the television, the World Cup is currently being held in South Africa, pitting football - or soccer - teams from different countries against each other to see who comes out on top." The euphemism was easy to remember if you just thought about soccer players being on top of each other.

"There are two games going on right now," Ziva continued. "Pick one that you would like to watch, and then pick a team to cheer for - but you'd better put on the team's jersey, or you will get thrown out. Sports fans take solidarity very seriously sometimes."

"We're doing cupcakes today, ladies and gentlemen," Alysha announced once everyone was assembled. "Yeah, I know we've already decorated them, but making some kind of cake's an important thing to know how to do, and cupcakes are just cuter than a regular cake."

She passed out a small booklet filled with cupcake recipes to each student. "This is yours to keep. There'll be more recipes for you next week to take with and experiment on, but for now, pick one of the cupcake recipes and go for it. I'm around if you have any questions."

Artie seemed . . . extra excited for today's class. He was bouncing even more than usual, back and forth between two large plastic trashcans filled to the brim with various colorful objects.

"Greetings, vikings and pirates! Today we have the pleasure of playing . . ." He paused, possibly for effect, possibly because he had to bounce in place for a long moment and strike as many awkward muscle poses as possible. "DODGEBALL!" He grinned broadly, then seemed to add "vikings versus pirates" as an afterthought.

"Two teams!" He explained, standing exaggeratedly straight, now, shoulders back far enough that he was starting to arch backwards, then started to march back and forth before the students. "One will be over there!" He pointed to one side of the clearing. "One will be over here," and then to the other side of the clearing. The two trashcans marked out a line between the two. "Ammo!" He patted one of the trashcans. "Throw them at each other. Dodge them. If you get hit, you're out! Until you're back in again."

Artie's games of dodgeball tended to be sort of never ending.

"And most importantly, have fun!"
